The Rock

Rocks are naught but stars long old
Laid with e'er a hand so cold.
Caverns and darkness surround the skies
The indigo night...lights eternity's eyes

There upon the cavernous rim
Thoughts of light..come from him...
Rocks and Stars are the same through time
Granite and flames...Strength sublime

The whisper of fallen words ring clear
To love from afar...less painful then near.
For in loving up close our heart we lose;
Take the least resistance we chose.

Strong and stalwart the rocks do stand
With the utmost honor of any mere man
There upon the bastions of the stone
Hoping he know...that he is ne'er alone...

Caves and indigo darknesss belies
Light sparkles forth from his dear eyes
Tend your heart...and tend it well
For only through time...will love's fortune Tell.....
