The Poet

What words can I pour forth
From this goblet to show your worth?
What refrain can I softly sing
To show what a quiet calm you bring?

How can my eyes reflect the sight
Of how much you you bring to light?
How tender your hand holds mine embrace
... I stand in awe of your glowing grace.

Swirling leaves crown your noble head
Silent colors...hued browns..golden red
Clad in hues of autumnal shades
Tis a vision......you'll ne'er fade....

You've become my song, my dulcet tune
The rhythm I feel...and move and sway
Into Your arms, I fall and swoon..
From the deppest night...and brightest day...

Apart from you my soul does weep.
and a mournful song does sing
But upon my pillow my mind does sleep
Dreams of calm visions you bring....
