Once Loved

What refrain could sing so sweet
That upon the snowdrift brow
Could bring a feeling so complete
A fulfillment in the here and now?

What light does break and shine
Pon the newly fallen snow
That could be called...mine
In the path it alights me so...

Tis you, the one that rings so clear
Upon the freshly trodden path
Tis you I seek to be so near
To sooth my sorrow and wrath..

For within your eyes I see the light
Shimmering upon the blue-white plane
While in the glow I feel delight
And sing a joyful refrain...

Tis you..

tis you..

that fills me so
With happiness and glee

Tis you ..
tis you...
I love to know
As you mean so much to me...
