The Billowing Blackness

Flowers upon the water tossed
Memories of the love she lost.
Ribbons 'pon waves wash out to sea
A memento of what can ne'er be

Forget-me-nots no longer recall
The warmth of his arms..tis gone that's all
Heather laid upon the swells
Her misfortune, her lost bewails.

Tear-stained clouds paint her sky
With sadness deep, the pains belie
What truest sorrow she does reap
That she had lost, what she would keep.

The blackest words, the greatest fear
Is now what caused her silver tear
The heart she gave, marked "fragile" as such
Sinks to the salty depths he loved so much

No longer able to touch his face
The weeping willows lament this place
While standing pon the blackest shore
Ne'er to hold him, no, ne'er more.

The flowers float in sad lament;
The love is gone, the energy spent.
What wish she would have to hold him near
And whisper simply, "I love you, my dear".

Alas that shall not ever be
For in the deep and silent sea
Is where he tossed her shattered heart
When from her arms he did depart.
