You

You

Many night I dreamed to have you next to me
I never really thought they would amount to anything
Could you hear me calling? Could you hear my cries?
Have you ever really seen the longing in my eyes?
Everything I've ever wanted presents itself in you
Lovely, patient, gentle, kind, how can I do without you?
Little did I really know how much I need your love
Endless hours I sit and think, and you are who I dream of
Intense emotions play themselves across my fragile heart
Love you for you has no boundaries, my love plays no part
Over and over I call for you, can you hear my soul?
Vulnerable, my heart cries out, can't you feel its pull?
Every day I pray to God that we can be as one
Yet ever day I dream of you I go to bed alone
Once upon a lifetime may never truly be
Until that day I pray, my love, that you will settle for me
