My Hero

My Hero

Famous actors, muscle men, heros of a war
Pretty models with perfect teeth, who could ask for more?
Martial artists, fighter pilots, men who know no fear
Actresses, women's libber who never shed a tear

Every shape and size the come, every race and creed
Some of them live humbly, others live in greed
Many of them think they're great,
They think they know their worth
Obviously they have not met
The greatest hero on earth

CHORUS:
We all have our heros, sitting high up on a pedestal
And we all want to be just like that other lucky soul
But my hero doesn't dance, doesn't live in Hollywood
And ever if she had the cash, she prob'ly never would
I wish everyone could see what I know is true
That my hero is much better, my hero is You

I really do not understand why people praise a star
Someone that they never know, see only from afar
My hero is much better than any actor could ever be
'Cause no actor that I know has ever had to put up with me

Why do they make a fuss about people who play sports?
Maybe they can throw a ball, or dribble down court
But if they ever had to do all that You do in a day
They definitely would not have the chance to play their game today

chorus

BRIDGE:
I know often I don't show it, I know it seems that I don't care
I know that when it comes to life, I don't treat you very fair
And I know that when you help me, the rewards you get are few
But there's no one in the entire world I'd rather be like that You

chorus
