The Last Great Adventure

The Last Great Adventure

There comes a time for every man
To step across that line
Some will go past screaming
Others will bide their time

Not me. Not me. I will not beg
I will not plead for breath
I plan to go down fighting
This equalizer named Death

I will not crawl into my grave
Or slink from Death's decree
I want to go with my head held high
I will NOT die on my knees

Valhalla? Heaven? Eternity in Limbo?
Will I follow an angel's trail?
There's only one way to know, one answer for me
For dead men tell no tales

But when my time comes, and my fighting is done
And it's time to embark on the venture
I will leap past that line with fire in my eyes
For Death is the last Great Adventure!
