Letter from the editor, I_Claudius
Welcome to the Rostra, the home of our editorial offices, where we will bring you the highlights of our great city, from its beginnings amongst the seven hills of Rome to its sad end many hundreds of years later.
Bear with us, for though we are writing in the time of our Glorious Emperor Claudius (ahem - that would be me), we know what has happened and what will happen in the future thanks to the sybil from Macedonia, whom we have employed at great cost. We will move forward and backward in time as if we were on a grand tempus machina, equally present in the past while Romulus and Remus bear arms against each other as in the future when Constantine takes his Christian vows.
Take heed Romans! The future is fraught with peril. We hope the lessons of our past and the divinations of our future help us avoid our fate, because if the sybil is correct, we will navigate a treacherous course to extinction.
