Evolution, Human Behavior and Philosophy Page

Why is the human brain so large? Why did humans evolve morality? How can we explain the modern human psychology in terms of an evolutionary drive to be fit? Why do humans have religions, or why do they fight wars? Or what limits does evolution place on our thinking? Are some thoughts true regardless of how our brains evolved?

For thousands of years, even before the Theory of Evolution, philosophers pondered such problems. But no solution such as a consistent theory of ethics, or a universal theory of behavior has emerged. In recent times we hoped that evolution would provide the necessary insights. But so far evolution has complicated the issues, by revealing apparent inconsistencies between biological drives to be fit, and psychologically driven behaviors hard to reconcile in fitness terms.

This site is to introduce a new theory, called the Theory of Options, which can resolve many of these problems. Details of the new theory are now on two sites;
