Here are the illustrations which demonstrate the affinity between the Olmec Writing and Mande Writing.

There are a combination of Syllabic Olmec signs and Compound Olmec signs. The syllabic signs are made up of a consonant and a vowel. The Compound Olmec signs are made up by the joining of one or more syllabic olmec signs.
