Olmec Inscriptions

The Olmec Writing is Unique. The Signs are similar to the writing used by the Vai people of West Africa.

The Olmec writing includes both compound signs which include two or more Olmec signs as illustrated below

and syllabic signs which are are usually a consonant and a vowel as noted below:

This completes the entire body of Olmec signs presently deciphered. There may be more Olmec signs which have not been discovered up to now.
