Lewinsky will not talk without immunity
Monica Lewinsky will not testify before the grand jury probing allegations of sex and a cover-up at the White House unless she is granted immunity from prosecution, her lawyer said Thursday. Attorney William Ginsburg said he could not confirm widespread reports a federal judge had ruled the 24-year-old former White house intern did not have an immunity agreement with independent counsel Kenneth Starr. He said, "Mr. Starr can do whatever he intends to do. Monica will not testify before the grand jury without immunity." Lewinsky has denied in an affidavit she had an affair with Clinton or that she was pressured to lie about it when called to give a deposition in the Paula Jones sexual harassment case.
