Farewell

divider line

Perhaps some day we'll meet again
And analyze some recent pain,
Unconscious hopes, or looming fears,
Losses suffered through the years,

And I will sit and watch the clock
Wind down the hour as I talk --
Each session drawing to a close
In mid-thought, as I blow my nose.

Some day, perhaps, we'll meet again,
Sit face-to-face, and bond. Until then
Have faith that I am doing fine,
Although I miss you from time to time.

And so farewell, "zai jian," "adieu."
Remember me well, as I will you.
