The other day I read this in the Washington Post Express:

Taiwan will cordon off part of a highway to create a safe passage for a massive seasonal butterfly migration in the coming days, an official said last weekend.  Authorities will also set up nets to make the butterflies fly higher and avoid passing cars.

I have heard of cities that have built tunnels to let wolves, deer, and other animals cross roads safely, but this is the first time I have ever heard of a place making special accommodations for butterflies!
