Uno!

My mother recently introduced my son to a card game called Uno in which you match cards in your hand with the color or number of a target card and try to be the first one to run out of cards.  If you do not have a match, you must draw a card.  When only one card is left in your hand, you must say "Uno!" in order to alert other players that you are close to winning.  In addition to the standard number cards, there are also "Skip," "Reverse," "Wild," "Draw Two," and 'Wild Draw Four" cards that affect the play of the game.  The latter two force the next player up to draw the specified number of cards without being able to play one of his/her own.  My son hasn't quite figured out that the object of the game is to get rid of your own cards -- he keeps trying to collect cards with the number "7" on them -- but he shows great delight in foisting "Draw Two" or "Draw Four" cards on other players.  I think perhaps the true object of the game for him is to have someone to play with for as long as possible.
