Posted by Kate: My great, great-grandfather, Irvin D. Lawler (deceased), was born in either 1862 or 1863. He attended Lorain High School and went on to Oberlin. He then began the first newspaper in Lorain, the Lorain Monitor. I don't know his exact graduation year. Anyone who may have further information can email me. I would appreciate receiving it as I have been searching the net and have found very little.
