Visions

The shadows cast upon the ground create blankets of shade for the beautiful green life at the base of the trees. The dew of morning is misted upon everything. There are spots of sunlight that seem to peak through the shadows casting beams of light, making the morning dew glisten upon the leaves. Tiny pine needles are sprayed upon the ground, leaving a carpet of green, gold, and brown. The birds in the canopy sing beautifully, and occasionally a chipmunk will be seen climbing up a tree. As I breathe in the sweet air of nature, I know I am home.
I walk through the forest humming softly under my breath, enjoying the beauty laid before me. The soft chill in the air just adds to the wonder, as the morning sun rises on the horizon. A branch appears in front of me from nowhere, and upon it perched a gorgeous golden eagle. I think she will fly away if I approach her, but I do so anyway, and to my amazement, there she stays, looking at me. I look into the eyes of the beauty and seem to know what she knows, and feel what she feels. I reach out and pet her crest feathers, and she coos with joy. I than know that she wishes me to follow her. She hops upon my wrist, and slowly makes her way up my arm to my shoulder.
The joy of having her on my shoulder is so great that I feel like I am flying; flying in the blue sky of bliss. Than I realize that I actually AM flying, and my golden wonder is flying along beside me. I feel the air beneath my wings as I glide through the sky. The wind, it rolls through my feathers, like water rolls through valleys. The joy I feel, being in the air, is so much that I feel like I am going to burst. The blue sky of bliss seems to go on for ever. My golden beauty seems to be taking me higher and higher into the sky, so high that we break through clouds unseen. The endless blue stays up above me, but as I look down, I see wondrous mountains and valleys below. The intensive greens of trees and grasses gleam brightly in the morning sun. Occasional splashes of blues and reds are seen from up above, created by valleys of flowers and rivers.
My golden beauty swoops down and I gladly follow. She glides swiftly through the blissfully blue sky, and as I follow, I become excited by the wind that rushes around me. It embraces me and seems to hold me forever in its grasps. But the seemingly forever joy ends much too swiftly, as we land at the bottom of a waterfall. The sound of the water as it hits the lake below is pure splendor, and it makes me realize the joy didn't end, and it never will, it just continues on as something different, but just as wonderful.
As I sit beside the lake and trail my finger in the water, I realize how nice it would be to enter the water and swim. I undress and enter the water. The cool waves engulf me, and I hum in pleasure as I feel the splendor of the water surrounding my body. I swim for what seems like days, but I know is only minutes. On the edge of the lake there is a rock, seemingly molded just for me. I sit upon its ledge and lean back into its embrace. I notice my golden beauty is nowhere to be seen, and I am sorry for leaving her at the edge of the water, but I know that she is happily up above the trees. I feel her close by, so I relax. So comfortable in my recline, I fall into a daze.
In this foggy dream, I first notice that the water around me starts to ripple. I look up slowly, and as I peer closer to the center of the lake, I notice a gleam, a glistening sparkle of light that grows brighter and brighter. There, in the intense brightness is my golden beauty, and as I watch the light intensify, she goes deeper and deeper into the water. As the light and the ripples recede, anxiety engulfs my every sense. Than, just as I was about to swim after the golden beauty, a splash occurs and gleaming water sprays everywhere. The place were my golden beauty had once been, was now replaced by a woman with gleaming gold hair. A smile apon her face and a gleaming in her deep green eyes, seems to draw me to her. I notice that she is not just the beautiful woman in front of me, but she is also everything else that is around me. She is the water that encompasses us both. She is the trees all around me, and the rock that I lay upon. She is the wondrous blue sky, and she is even a part of me. As I realize this, the fogginess in my vision clears. I open my eyes and hear a sound above my head. I look up, and see my golden beauty flying up toward the sky...

The sound of an alarm breaks through the sound of the waterfall, the scene around me slowly disapears as I realize it's time to wake up and start another day. Another day to go through, to stress through, to learn through, and than at the end of the day, I will be able to visit my home again. Perhaps if I am lucky, I will be able to see my golden beauty fly in the wondrously blue sky.
