Rotary Club of Bintulu Central

A simple project on "International Services"

This little initiative is recorded as one of the projects in "International Services".

To: Rotarians in Internet listed email forum,

Dated: 24th Oct. 98

Greeting from Rotary Club of Bintulu Central. (A new baby club just formed this year).

My thanks to PP Zaid Bin Ishak (District 3300) for this good forum facilities (http://mmserve.com/rotary/d3300.htm). I wish to tap into your Rotary experience and wisdom for the benefits of the larger community.

This is briefly how it works:

Knowledge and wisdom on Rotary Movement are coded and deposited in Internet Knowledge Database (using artificial intelligence software facilities of Outsights, http://www.outsights.com). Users (subscribers) of this facility can pose any question, comment, critique etc. and the software will present relevant information / knowledge to the users' requests or offer suggestions for users further action. As the Knowledgebase facility is for the whole of Internet community, i.e. borderless society, it is "International" in nature, benefiting users who are Rotarians, or others to get to know more about Rotary Movement, thereby attracting them to be members.

So far coded knowledge include Objects of Rotary, some history, characteristics of non-profit, voluntary organisations, their challenges and difficulties, Rotary Movement direction, ideas for change, meeting dynamics, motivation etc.

Please forward your ideas, suggestions, solutions, successful experimentation in various Rotary projects, fellowship techniques and skills, etc. Or, what you think are commonly asked questions about Rotary movement, what types of difficulties in motivating members to self-actualise, membership drive, Rotary as Learning Organisation etc.

Regards

Andrew Wong,

President of Rotary Club of Bintulu Central
