What gives rise to Mental Models formation may have to do with how the thinking come about. Or, what is the preferred thinking pattern, or thinking inclination of the person concerned.

We can better understand our behaviour or potential by better understanding our own thinking styles. Likewise we could better interact or influence others if we better understanding their preferred thinking inclination.
