Introduction
Robert Hargrove in his book “Masterful Coaching” used the above phrases to describe very well two types of stories people often tell in their daily conversation. It is either a “rut” story or a “river” story.
Characteristics : “Stuck” “Repeated pattern of doing thing without breakthrough or advancement” “Many enemies around as reasons for unsuccessful experience, event or attempt”
Retarding Force : “Indulging in illusive & defensive behavior to protect themselves in cocoon.”
Characteristics : “Moving forward” “Have good clarity of goal / direction” “Creative and full of energy” “ Driving Force : “Commitment to grow, to learn, to excel and to self-actualize”
