An atmospheric craft designed for high-speed low level surprise attacks.
This ship is in the color scheme used in the pacification of Akkadian IV.
The white/red color scheme was ideal for Akkadian IV's backdrop of snow
and heavily oxidized ferric oxide deposits. Note the bulge of the starboard
terrain avoidance shield emitter between the primary wing and the forward
canard.
The Daimön features a retrofitted pulsed-plasma cannon mounted
on the starboard forward canard and twin Class-3 laser cannons flanking
the upper edge of the canopy. Note the supply conduit feeding the plasma
cannon. This retrofitted modification is common on many Legoverse craft.
Canards are used on the Daimön quite effectively. In addition
to the canards, the flight control system includes the standard variable
incidence v-tail design. The variable tails are shown here in the normal
cruise position.
The twin S-7e engines are of a high specific impulse variable-reactant
design. These engines are operable with a wide variety of common planetary
gases, which are fed into the converters through magnetically funnelled
intakes below the primary wings. The hydro-methane slush of Akkadian IV
provided an ideal reactant fuel for these engines.
The color scheme was also carried through to the ACM level-7 pilot of this
Daimön. Due to the low quantity of needed trace gases in Akkadian
IV's atmosphere, all ACM's in that campaign required supplemental supply
tanks. ACM pilots generally had these tanks mounted on their backs.
