Hi there. I tried to find your private email address, but couldn't find it on your site. I worked on the film Sphere, coordinating the computer and video displays you'll see in the movie. We ran Jerry and designed the DH8 interfaces, etc. I enjoyed yo
r site (even though it took FOREVER to load -- I'd familiarize myself with debabelizer and get those image sizes down -- and had little information about the film). Nice aesthetically, though.
My one concern was about the fact that I noticed you used some of Todd Cherniawsky's prop designs from the movie (fire extenguisher, axe, grid light, etc.) and didn't credit him, so it appears to visitors that you created them. I know this isn't the case
Todd is a friend of mine. I wonder if you have his permission to display these images. I would think you could at least credit him.

Though this doesn't really have much info on the book or film Sphere, it is certainly one of the most creative sites I've ever seen. The design is superb, but the execution... Well, though most of the images are great, and you obviously show amazing talen
, they take a hell of a long time to load, even with a 33.3 kb modem running on a Pentium 166. Also, some of your links don't work, and some of the text looks, as I believe somebody mentioned below, 'clownish'. Try using as more high-contrast color, and a
font other than the highly over-rated Times New Roman. You'd be surprised at how much cooler your site would look if you used, say, Arial or Verdana. Finally, I have a beef with your claim of being the *first* Sphere site. Mine has been around for a good
ight months now, and has gone through two incarnations (the third is coming soon). Other than that, this is an excellent page, and, as I said, very creative.

You could use a better Navy logo. I'm in the Navy and I think our logo sucks. It looks like a Cub Scout patch. How about a DoD emblem instead? It looks more official. You could also brouse around some of the other paramilitary sites like the CIA, Offic
of Space Systems, NASA sites, etc. They have put a lot of money and time into some of their sites and have some cool designs. A nice,dark alien texture background would look nice too! The 'Aliens' website (one of the many) looks really good. I would
tick with a smaller font of one or two colors (dark) at the most. Fonts too large tend to give the page a clownish appearance except, of course, for the title itself, but that looks nice because it's textured. It would look even better if you could blen
the edges so that the stars appear uniform in the back. With a little polish this site will kick ass. Good Luck!
