The difference in Alien costume designs
The main difference between the Alien costumes designs occurs in the makeup of the heads
This is how the Aliens head looked from the original design by Giger.
This is phase two which was created for Aliens, the difference in design is that in the original there was a shell that went over the top of the head and all they did was take it off.
This is the third in the series which was once again done by Giger, he changed the Alien a fair bit for this design. He put the shell back on the head but added a third joint to the Aliens legs, he also took the tube things off its back. He made other changes but these are the most obvious of the lot.
Note: I do not have any pictures from the latest Alien movie, it has not yet been released in Australia so I have not been able to see it. Until then I connot compare the difference in designs.
