History

If you have looked over the history of Dracula, than your ready for the history of Castlevania.

After his death he rose from the grave in 1482, to take the world over with the army of darkness.

His third son, born from his second wife Ilona Elisabeth ("Lisa") Szil�gy, died in the church, where he lived, of a unknown illness. His name for many years would not be known, Adrian Fahrenheights Tepes, however would raise from the grave a few days later to look for his father. He than changed his name to Alucard, (Dracula spelled backwards). He would later became one of the Count's highest generals.

A human woman stepped out of the darkness and offered Alucard a hand in find his father. When they reached the castle Sonia Belmont fought Alucard and beat him, but let him live. She then entered and battled the Prince of Darkness. At the end of the battle the Count fled into hidding.

Later that year Sonia gave birth to a boy that she named Trevor, the father being Alucard, from the encounter before the fight between the two.

The people of Warakiya feared the Belmont's supernatural powers, so they were banished from the town.

In 1499 the power of Dracula returned to attack the people of Transylvania. Trevor, a 17 year old man, steps up to the take out Dracula and to end his curse upon the land. His powers flowed from the heritage of Alucard. On his adventure he met three powerful beings to help him on his quest. Grant DaNasty (a ghostly pirate cursed by Dracula), Sypha Belnades (a female Mystic Warlord, also of Warakiya, thought long dead), and Alucard (the "forgotten son of Dracula" who at last musters up the courage to oppose his father). Together they entered the castle and defeated the Master Vampire.

After the fall of Dracula, the three that helped Trevor recevied their body's back. Grant when out and helped the people to rebuild the town. Alucard when into a deep sleep to rid the world of his accursed blood. Sypha and Trevor married to have a child.

In 1576,the first centennial resurrection began. Christopher, the great-grandson of Trevor, went out to defeat the evil of the Count. However, before the last blow could be struck, the Count became a mist and escaped the battle.

Around 1591, Christopher's son, Soleiyu Belmont, became possessed by Dracula's powerful influence. After a long battle, Christopher slays the Evil One and saves his son.

1691, Simon Belmont enters the castle two times looking for his love Linda Entwhistle, who was taken by Dracula. Each time he kills the Count but no sign of his love.

One year later, Simon finds himself under a curse from the King of Vampires. After the battle Simon didn't burn the body, so he set out to find the body parts of Dracula and then returns to the broken remnants of the castle. Their he kills the Count again, and finds his love Linda Entwhistle, alive and well.

At the end of 1692, the same year the people of Transylvania, happy for the ending of the problems, failed to see followers of Dracula praying to the devil for their Master to return. A bolt of lighting strikes the grave and the powerful Count moves again. Simon returns to the castle that reappears as stable as his first fight, and kills the Prince of Darkness.

In 1788, the Dark Priest Shaft revives the Count early from his grave. The Count, felled with anger against the Belmont clan, kidnapped Richter Belmont's girlfriend Annette, his sister Maria, a nun named Tera, and a doctor's daughter named Iris. After killing the Vampire and saving the girls, Shaft called upon his Master again. This time Dracula kidnapped just Annette and Maria. He returns and slays the Dark Master and returns home with his sister and better half.

As the third centennial rolls around in 1792, great forces fight for the soul of one Alucard, this is the same Alucard that fought along side Trevor Belmont. Out of the mist Castlevania appeared and Richter Belmont disappeared. Maria, now a young woman entered the castle looking for her bother. Alucard entered looking to purify the land of the curse. After a long battle, Shaft had been controlling Richter as Dracula raises from his Dark Death. Alucard enters into the upside down castle and kills his own father.

Many more battles happen in between Richter quest and the story of Bran Stokers Dracula. All of these battles are under new surnames that came from the Belmont family.

In 1891, Dracula is reborn in the fourth centennial. This time he lives in his old castle making plans for his trip to England, and building a army of living followers instead of the dead. This planning period last till 1896.

The time enters into 1897, and "Count Dracula of Bistritz," the name he is going by, goes into his plans. This is stopped by Quincey Morris who stabs Dracula in the heart with his bowie knife before falling from his wounds. Quincey's son, two year-old John Morris (with friend, Eric Lecarde), watch the grim battle unfold at the decrepit Castlevania, from the shadows.

1917 - As WWI continues to play out, John Morris and Eric Lecarde accept the challenge of stopping Countess Elizabeth Bartley�s attempt to resurrect her deceased uncle, Dracula. This is the same woman that was locked away for bathing in the blood of a countless number of young girls/women. Chasing her across Europe, they find and slay her at a newly erected castle in England, though not before she succeeds in resurrecting her uncle, forcing what would be a battle with the undead Count.
