The Expulsion from Eden

Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.

So He drove out the man; and He placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubim s, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

The Search for Eden

So the quest for paradise begins. Like Atlantis the great continents of Lemuria and Mu were lost to natural disasters, according to legends. The difference is both of these land masses have been called the garden of Eden.

In the mid 19th century the theory that what is now the Indian Ocean was once a giant land mass had gained popularity. Lemuria named for the families of lemurs found in Africa, southern India and Malaya, explained similarities in animal and plant life on continents thousand of miles apart.

British zoologist P.L. Sclater claimed the lemurs must have been split up when the land sunk-an area believed to stretch from the Malagasy republic across the south coast of Asia to the Malay Archipelago.

Backing this theory was the finding of similar animal fossils in the South African province of Natal and southern India. Among the believers was 19th century evolutionists Thomas Huxley and the German biologist Ernst Haeckel suggested that the missing continent was indeed "the probably cradle of the human race." From this idea developed the concept that Lemuria was Eden.

Mu

Anglo-American Co. James Churchward first told the story of Mu in 1870. Mu was located in the Pacific and stretched 5,000 miles long and 3,000 miles wide. The center of the continent was just south of the equator.

Original Tongue of all Mankind

Churchward learned the story of Mu in 1866 while in India during the famine. A Hindu priest taught him the ancient language naacal, which Col. James claimed was the original tongue of all mankind. the Col. then used his knowledge of the language to decode the story of Mu off of some ancient stone tablets hidden in the priests chamber.

According to the tablets man first appeared in Mu 2 million years ago and a sophisticated race of 64 million evolved. Then the vast continent was destroyed by a single volcanic eruption. But there were survivors who were spread out into the world and from them modern civilization grew.

Was it earthquakes and volcanoes that lost these continents or destruction more man made, like picking bad fruit.
