Description: The seshayans are felt to be the most alien race encountered so far. They stand about 1.5 to 1.7 meters tall, but have a wingspan of about three meters. They have two pairs of arms, one being the wings, the other having fine manipulators to use tools. The head of the seshayan has a ring of eight small orange-yellow eyes around the front, and a mouth full of small sharp teeth. Their skin colour ranges from green to dark yellow. They are completely hairless.
History: The seshayans don't really have much of a history. The youngest of the races encountered by the League, it is estimated that they have only been using tools for about one and a half millennia. They are currently in their equivalent of the human Stone Age. Over this time they have formed a tribal culture which in which history is recorded and passed down through stories (they have no written language). It was not too long after this that the humans made contact with them. Although the seshayans were at first in awe of the humans, they have now got used to them, accepted them as a new part of their world, and don't really take notice of them anymore.
Psychology and Culture: The seshayans are
alien in more than just appearance. Whereas humans and certain other races
change emotions rapidly, seshayans seem to have different personalities
for each individual emotion (humans may confuse this with schizophrenia).
The seshayan is in complete control of which personality is dominant at
any given time, and each creature can possess hundreds of them. They believe
in spirits that inhabit certain areas of their home world, but have no
actual gods. Each tribe has a shaman that is also the lore-keeper for that
tribe. They are a hunter-gatherer society and usually are nomadic. As such,
they don't have time for games and recreation. The only actual games are
various flying acrobatic competitions young seshayans have with each other.
Once they reach adulthood they are expected to mature.
