Improvements (Steve Barnes):
----------------------------
Better visuals, including 4 AA-8 'Aphid' missiles, and totally new
flight dynamics.

Brief History:
The first flight of the 9-01 prototype was on 6th October 1977
piloted by Alexander Fedotov. 9-01 was the first of 14 prototypes.
By 1979 information was published in the West, refering to it as
Ram-L. 29th April 1981 saw the first flight of the two-seat MiG-29UB.
Series production of the MiG-29 started in 1982 and the first aircraft
was delivered to the Air Force in August 1983. The 'Fulcrum' was first
seen outside the Soviet Union on 1st July 1986 in Finland. Up to
January 1995 1413 MiG-29's had been built, including 197 MiG-29UB's.
About 270 aircraft have been exported to 14 countries.

Performance:
Maximum Operating Speed: 1296 knots (1491 mph)
Maximum Speed (at sea level): 810 knots (932 mph)
Stall Speed (full flaps): 130 knots

Flying the MiG-29:
Takeoff: If you watch the takeoff routine of a MiG-29 you will see
that it has a fair amount of flap deployed. Because of this I use
20' flaps for takeoff and it will rotate at about 160-170 kts. This
gives quite a realistic short takeoff roll, (at Farnborough '88 it
took 10 seconds), and visually the flaps look about right.

Flying: I have tamed down the controls from my previous version, but
it still remains very responsive and also very stable, even at Mach 2.
It also still tailslides very well.

Landing: With full flaps, keep the speed at about 140-150 knots on
finals with the nose held quite high. When you cross the threshold
reduce power and flare it onto the runway.
