Author's Biography
I'm your typical not-so-typical teen: a 5 foot 6, brown-haired, green-eyed mix of many races. My name, as seen above, is Alyssa Powell, and I am a senior (YEAH!) in high school--seventeen years old. So far, pretty normal. But nothing is normal about my hometown. No one who lives in Laredo, Texas can be classified as anything other than an extreme--my friends and I just happen to be just so in our own categories. I count the extreme scientist, oratory speaker, scholar, and musician among my best friends. Me? I'm the extreme artist: I draw, paint, sculpt, compose (kind of) and...as you see below....I write.
