"What’s taken em so long? Should’ve been here eons ago,"
Ironhide said with some anger in his voice,
"Don’t worry I’m sure they just got ahead of themselves
exploring."
Sideswipe replied, Prowl then said,
"Yeah, most likely. We all know Hound."
Everyone half chuckled,
"What’s Blue Streak’s condition?"
Prowl asked. Mirage replied,
"His repair systems are now working 100 percent, they weren’t working well very good at all before."
"How long till he’s on his feet,"
Prowl then asked. Mirage answered,
"About 2 hours."
Prowl nodded.
"Look!"
Sideswipe yelled.
"What the hell is it?"
Ironhide asked,
"Looks like a flare."
Prowl answered.
"I’ll go check it out."
Sideswipe said as he started walking,
"Wait,"
"Take Ironhide and Sunstreaker with you."
Sideswipe and the other two transformed and sped toward the green light and smoke.
"Have we got anything for lighting?"
The night was upon them, the planet sun had just gone down.
Mirage replied,
"I could probably rig up some stuff from the shuttle’s exterior landing lights, but we don’t have much power to them. The energon batteries in the shuttle might have recharged a tiny bit. Enough to run some lights for a while."
"Good."
When Sideswipe and Sunstreaker arrived at the scene, Hound was waving the green flare. The two sports cars transformed Sideswipe saw that Trailbreaker had got stuck real bad in a mud hole with Cliffjumper connected behind . The site was about 100 feet from the forest and about 3 miles from the crash site. Suddenly Ironhide came and transformed to robot mode,
"Damn you boys drive fast!"
Sideswipe and Sunstreaker laughed. Hound yelled ,
"Come on and help me with this!"
The others quickly ran over to Trailbreaker and started pushing, Trailbreaker rear wheels were spinning,
"Can you transform,"
Ironhide asked. Trailbreaker responded,
"I can’t. The wire connected to Cliffjumper prevents it."
Ironhide reached into the mud put couldn’t find the cord in the mud. He continued pushing. Suddenly there was a noise, a loud humming, it sounded like an unoiled joint moving coming for the forest line. All the robots looked over there.
"You hear that?"
Sunstreaker asked. Ironhide answered,
"Ah Hell, it’s nothin."
They turned and continued pushing. They were making slow progress. After about 3 minutes Trailbreaker managed to make it to dry ground. He pulled Cliffjumper through the mud.
"Thanks guys."
Trailbreaker said to the group.
They all nodded. Suddenly the noise was there again. Except this
time it was much closer.
"What the heck is it?"
Sunstreaker asked. Sideswipe replied,
"Why don’t you go check it out?"
"Shut up Sideswipe."
"Hell, I’ve heard enough outta you to for one day,"
Ironhide scowled. He approached the forest and saaid,
"I’ll go check it out ya bunch o wimps!"
"Be careful"
Hound advised. Ironhide turned and said,
"Well of course I’m gonna! Probably don’t need to though, probably just some petro-rabbit that’s lookin for its moma!"
Trailbreaker chuckled. Ironhide then said,
"Yeah you remeber that time Trailbreaker, there were so many-"
"Ironhide look out!"
Suddenly and tarnished brown robot approached Ironhide’s back. It wasn’t very huge but it was very stocky. Its head resembled a human skull. It’s eyes were bright red and lit up the night. It pointed its fist at the group. And Bullets started flying at them. Sideswipe and Hound dived out of the way, most of the bullets hit Sunstreaker square in the chest. He screamed in pain and fell to his back. Ironhide grabbed his Liquid Disperser and fired it at the large robot. The super heated lead that came from the gun melted the robot’s left arm.
"Chew on this!"
Ironhide yelled as he blasted the robot in the side, melting one of its main support braces. It fell to its knees, the robot backfisted Ironhide with it’s operational arm. Ironhide flew for about 30 yards. The robot looked towards the other Autobots. Suddenly a fireball hit the robots head blowing it clean off. It melted when It hit the ground. Sideswipe threw down his gun and went to his brother,
"Are you all right?"
Sunstreaker replied,
"I’m fine, cept my body is totally trashed."
His chest was covered with holes.
Ironhide approached the group. He looked at the wrecked robot. He rubbed his dented face and fired his gun at it, melting the rest of it. It was now night.
"How do you like that?"
He yelled.
Trailbreaker approached the group, now in robot mode,
"You guys all right?"
Ironhide asked,
"Yeah, and where the hell were you!!??"
Trailbreaker smiled and suddenly his body turned silver. And it suddenly for into one of the attack bots. The silver color disappeared and the robot looked exactly like the other did. It raised its fist cannon and fired at Ironhide at point blank range, Shattering the glass on the windshield on his chest. Sideswipe reached for his gun but the machine kicked him. It him in the shoulder knocking him some distance from his gun. Hound looked up and the robot threw its fist at him hitting him clear in the faces he fell back the missile in his shoulder launcher took flight hitting the machine in the chest. Hound fell into the mud hole where Trailbreaker had been stuck earlier. The robot fell backwards. Sideswipe ran back and grabbed his gun and shot the fallen robot, the shot melted its mid section, severing it into two pieces. Ironhide came limping back to the group holding his gun,
"Did you get em?"
Ironhide asked.
"Yep,"
Sideswipe replied.
"What the hell was it?"
Sunstreaker asked as he stood up, energon dripping from his chest. Ironhide replied,
"I don’t know, but it looked like exactly like Trailbreaker, and then it like, damn well changed. I don’t know but, where the hell is Trailbreaker?"
"Can we be sure that wasn’t the real Trailbreaker?"
Sunstreaker asked. Sideswipe helped Hound out of the mud hole. Ironhide barked,
"Hell yeah! You know em just as well as I do, and Trailbreaker ain’t no traitor."
"Yeah I know but-"
Sunstreaker was interrupted by Sideswipe,
"Guys, I’d say its time to be on our way?"
Ironhide, Sunstreaker, and Hound all asked at the same time,
"Why?"
He pointed toward the forest where you could they could see about 10 different sets of red eyes. They all transformed to vehicle mode and preceded back to the shuttle at full speed without Trailbreaker or Cliffjumper.
