Real Name: Genis-Vell
Family members : Son of Captain Mar-Vell (deceased) , Elysius of Titan.
Adopted God father/Uncle, Eros (Starfox the Avenger) of Titan.
Powers: Super strength , faster then light flight, cosmic awareness.
Strength level: 70 tons . Augmented by the Nega Bands he wears, 98 tons.
Flight ability: Faster then light through hyper-warp manipulation. In flight
, Captain Marvel is able to carry many times his ultimate lifting weight due to
the thrust/anti-gravity effect of his flight power
Other Powers: Cosmic Awareness, the ability to become momentarily "One with
the universe" and sense all things within that universe. This has many benefits.
The most important is the ability to know when to strike at ones foes, to the
exact nano-second. Genis-Vell can pinpoint anyones exact whereabouts through
Cosmic Awareness, as well as feel energy disturbances
Devices, weapons : The Nega Bands. Possibly the most powerful weapons in the
galaxy. The Nega Bands that Genis-Vell wears are a copy of the original
Nega-Bands his father wore. Their powers are the same. They allow 1) Matter
manipulation 2) Added Strength 3) The ability to almost instantaneously heal
ones wounds.4) Flight 5) Harnessing and releasing explosive blasts of photonic
power as a "photon blast". 6)Absorption of solar energy through the Nega-Bands
powers the flight and strength increases , as well as the energy discharges. 7)
The ability to open a gateway to the "Negative Zone" universe.
History: Genis -Vell was created in a bio matrix using genetic material from
his long deceased father , the original Captain Marvel (Mar-Vell) and Elysius,
the Titanian Eternal. Then Elysius was impregnated with the genetic material ,
which she bore to full term. When Genis was born, he was immediately aged to
manhood through genetic manipulation. This was done so as to protect the then
infant Genis-Vell from enemies of his long buried father, Captain Mar-Vell, who
might still seek revenge . After maturing to adult-hood Genis left the safe
haven of Titan to taste the fruits of the Universe. This is when he first
encountered the Silver Surfer, who began Genis' formal education in the
responsibilities of the role he was born to play. Genis-Vell then encountered a
threat that was to actually be a foreshadowing of things to come. Genis fought a
foe who turned out to be the son of Yonn-Rog, his fathers first , and one of his
greatest foes. Yonn-Rogs son was battling for revenge against Genis, for what he
deemed Mar-Vells role was in his fathers death. Genis defeated His enemy. This
was his first major threat ,and first major victory. He battled an enigmatic
cosmic being after this who was sitting in judgement of a world that Genis was
trying to save. Next , Genis arrived at the Silver Surfer's homeworld of
Zenn-La, in time to watch the planet disappear. That mystery would remain the
Surfer's problem, and not Captain Marvel's . After this , Genis would begin to
investigate the mystery of the "Enemy" . An unknown foe his father had never
been able to investigate before his untimely death. After a drawn out battle
involving Ms Marvel, Hercules, Drax the Destroyer, as well as Starfox, Genis'
adoptive "Uncle" of sorts. The Enemy turned out to be a resurrected Yonn-Rog,
who was the champion of evil. It was during this period that Genis gained Cosmic
Awareness at the hands of Lord Chaos and Master Order. These two conferred upon
Captain Marvel the title his father held, that of "Universal Protector". The
Cosmic awareness is what turned the battle to Captain Marvel's side, and he
defeated Yonn-Rog once and for all. After this Genis decided to explore more of
the universe, and ran afoul of two brothers from the Negative Zone who were
capturing and mind wiping perspective warriors for their planet sized arena.
After escaping their world alongside the Mighty Thor, Captain Marvel began
studying the advanced Martial Arts used by Iron Fist at that masters hand. It
was here that Genis battled his most powerful enemy to date, The Menace known as
Black Sun. Genis battled alongside the Avengers in the final confrontation with
the sentient star , and narrowly defeated him in an epic struggle that took all
of the battle prowess he had gained in the previous months . Yet defeat Black
Sun he did. Only to be attacked and blind sided by Thanos, who made a desperate
bid for power at the moment of Captain Marvel's victory. Banishing Genis-Vell to
the depths of time and space, the young hero awoke in the past, upon an Earth
where his father still lived. He encountered a younger Spider-Man, as well as
his father himself, before Chaos and Order returned him to his own time. Where
he battled and defeated Nitro the living bomb. The man who had inadvertently
caused Mar-Vells death. Genis-Vell wiped the Mexican countryside with Nitro, but
had to stop an erupting volcano along the way. Upon his return to Titan, Genis
realized something had gone seriously wrong with the universe. His homeworld was
now a caricature of a 1950's Earth sitcom. Captain Marvel returned to Earth,
where his problems multiplied, as all of Earth, as well as the rest of the
Universe itself was now transformed mysteriously. It was during this period that
Genis-Vell gained his new costume at the hands of another Cosmic entity , Uwey,
the master of the Sun,who had previously come to Genis' aid in healing him from
a catastrophic injury after his first defeat at the hands of Black Sun that
almost killed Genis.
