Suddenly a streak flies out of the water and to the south, while another gives chase, then pauses. It is Thor

Thor : (Ods' blood ! We have destroyed the very ground we stood on ! What will I have to do to entrap this madman ?)

Without a thought Thor flies towards the source of the cries, a car hanging over the edge of the Westside highway.

Thor: "Have faith noble souls, thy time to see thy maker is not yet here as long as Thor is near to aid thee."

Thor releases Mjolnir , slamming his foe in the face. Pa-kapow!

Thor: ( I must indeed make this fool believe I am as caught up in the battle as he is , in truth I almost was. My anger at being thrown through those warehouses earlier was great indeed.)

Thor II: "AARrrgghh!"

Thor leaps at his foe , pressing his advantage.

Thor : "Stand down, for the final time I offer thee the chance of peace betwixt us afore I use my great anger to destroy thee."

Thor II : Never will I surrender, the game is to great, the fun more then I've felt in many a millennia. Let us play ."

Thor II flies away, heading deeper into Queens, as Thor pulls himself free.

Thor fires off a massive energy blast from Mjolnir, throwing his double across the field. Zzaaa-FFOOOM !!

Thor: (I must press my attack whilst I have an advantage, mayhap I cannot defeat him powerwise, Tis as if I fight myself, but if I can make him fear me..)

Thor is across the field in one mighty leap, pounding his foe with a mighty left

Thor: " Back fool, the true prince of Asgard speaks here imposter."

A darkened office room we've seen before, filled with Shadowed figures, most are very large, powerful forms, a few crackle with energy. A man we've also seen before sits at the only desk in the dark and shadowy room

Shadowed Man: "You are all here for a reason, you know what it is. The one who succeeds wins the reward of $2,000,000 ."

Large shiny figure in shadows : " This ain't no walk in the park , I don't know If I wanna go against this guy fer only two mill."

Shadowed man : " No one is breaking your arm to do this my large friend, if you choose to leave, then do so now. And that goes for anyone else here my rather powerful and boisterous friends "

Thor: "You disgust me, thou doth claim to be me and in truth thou art a pale distorted broken reflection at best. A poor mans Thor haha."

Thor II Tackles Thor once again, the two of them tearing a huge gash in the pavement as they slide across the ground.

Thor II : "I knew thy caring for these mortal vermin would prove thy undoing. "

Thor : "Thou couldst learn from their nobility craven cur, something thou obviously knows naught of."

Thor : "You make no sense insane one, in truth none of this makes sense. Again when last I saw thee, even though the details be hazy, I had in truth images of us working together."

Thor II Spins his hammer , readying for an attack

Thor II: "And again I say to thee I have never met thee before, mayhap thou likest the sound of thy own voice but I DO NOT !"

Thor II hurls himself yet again at Thor

Thor II : "We end this now loud braggart."

Thor : " Indeed we do brazen one."

Thor: "Now as you said this battle ends."

Thor II Slams into the overpass abutment, head first. PA-Kooom !

Thor : "And the true thunder god will be the victor."

Thor swings a powerful left at his stunned foe. Pa-Wak !

Thor: "I have had enough the time has come to find the truth of this matter."

Switching Mjolnir to his left hand he sends a bone crushing right into his foe that lifts him into the air and sends him sprawling 100 feet away. Unconscious, finally the ersatz Thunderer slumps to the ground.

Thor: " Now to immediate matters.

Thor rushes to the gaping hole where the natural gas is spewing out and he closes the steel pipe with his bare hand, crushing it tight.

Thor : "In truth, that was one of the toughest battles I ever fought. His tenacity was second to none and his hide was as impervious as my own."

Tapping his hammer three times , Thor stops his mini deluge.

Thor II : "So..., thou hadst... beaten me."

Panel 3

Thor spins at the sound of the others voice. He sees the other slumped with his back against a wall with his hands up.

Thor : "Awake already? Zounds, thou art indeed almost my equal in power."

Thor II: "No more my brother. I yield to thee."

Panel 4

Thor approaches his double

Thor :" Brother ? No Thor has but one Bro..."

Thor stops and looks around

Thor:" Ther. Show thyself prince of mischief. Thy brother commands thee."

Loki shimmers into view, floating above Thor and his double, arms across his chest.

Loki :" Finally figured out my game eh brother mine?"

Thor looks on from the ground up at his hovering sibling

Thor: " I should have in truth sensed thy foul hand from the start of this madness."

Loki: "Ah, but you did not ,did you."

Thor motions at his duplicate who stands beside him.

Thor : "How came he hither?"

Loki : "Why I created him of course."

Thor , looking incredulous, as his other looks stunned.

Thor : "What sayest thou? You cannot create life. Only the all father possesses that gift of us all

Loki :" I did not say I gave him life, no you did."

Loki lands in front of the twin Thors

Loki: "He is the approximation of any unspent rage in your soul. You are the closest to a being of pure good this world has ever seen. Any evil you long since have cast out. In truth, where did you think it went?"

Thor II: "Art thou saying I am his "bad " side?"

Panel 2

Thor looks on angrier and obviously unbelieving

Loki : "In truth yes. And I had such high hopes for thee. But even the Thunder gods "Bad" side in truth was to noble and good."

Thor: " How could such a thing come to pass? You lie as ever evil one."

Panel 3

Loki fains being hurt

Loki : "You wound me brother. And in keeping with Odins edict I did not even attack thee."

Thor: "How did this come to pass schemer?"

Loki: " Many centuries ago when Mjolnir was forged the Trolls forged a second hammer at Odins bequest, ask him, this is no lie, in it was to reside your anger and any dark motivations. We could not have a champion who wasn't completely pure, now could we?"

Panel 4

Looking on from above Lokis' shoulder

Loki : "This was a precaution on our fathers part 'gainst you ever feeling the urge to turn to darker deeds, as unlikely as that may have been."

Thor : "Then how didst I come to meet this other in The Franklin made universe? "

Loki:" Oh I assume that happens here."

Loki snaps his fingers and the second Thor winks out of existence like a flash bulb going off

Loki : "There, now he is in his proper place and time for his meeting with destiny."

Thor angrily approaches Loki

Thor: "Craven coward, where have you sent him? "

Loki :" Why where else, but the other universe you call the "Franklinverse"

Thor : "And what of the mortal he claimed gave him substance?"

Panel 3

Loki continues to look smug as Thor is now in his face and obviously angered.

Loki : "Why dear brother, I know not what you speak of, his mind mayhap was deranged, or mayhap he was seeking to throw you off balance with his words."

Thor : "I think not schemer . There is more here then meets the eye, as is the case whenever thou art involved."

Panel 4

Loki begins to float upwards

Loki : "Well brother dearest, in truth twas you who gave me the idea for this game of trickery with your tales of the other universe. So in this case thou art to blame."

Thor: "Your twisted logic makes sense to none but thee mischief maker, and in truth thou didst not attack me, so any move I make here towards thee, I will be seen as the aggressor."

Loki looks down on Thor as his form begins to fade away.

Loki : "As I planned it from the start. This round goes to me."

Thor takes to the air, as the emergency crews arrive to secure the area

Thor : (Aye brother mayhap it has, but I cannot shake the feeling things did turn out as they must, though I still am concerned about the supposed mortal involved.)

Thor : ( In truth I must think long and hard on this, it seems my brother seeks to renew our longstanding war betwixt each other. I must be prepared in the future.
