From Ancient Asgard he comes, The Prince of that Realm, an immortal warrior whose heritage is tied both to the realm eternal as well as Earth itself ! He stands for honor and is a divine force for good in the eternal struggle . His Strength of arm is second to none and it swings the mystic hammer Mjolnir for all that is just and right ! He is The Mighty THOR, God of Thunder ! And all the forces of the storm are his to command!
Splash page: ( A mass of reptilian bodies cover the figure on the street amid the wreckage of the surrounding buildings. It's night A muscular arm is reaching out of the mass of pounding creatures. It's Thor)
Narrator: Quick recap dept. See that arm there, yes, that one right there. That's the star of this book, The Mighty Thor. Last ish he came back from a year extended stay in an alternate reality to a Homecoming party by Lord Odin. Later that night Amora the enchantress decided to pay the Thunder god a visit in his little used palace when she attacked him and changed her shape to reveal her true form. After a brief battle Thor defeated the creature only to be attacked by the rest of her "family". That brings us up to now.
Page 2 (the reptilians cover Thor, but suddenly there is a rumbling, almost a roar that slowly builds in volume)
Reptilian voices: Die thunderer ! Hisssssss, your death will be the final spike in cursed Assssssssgardsssss tomb!!!! Hhiiiiisss!!
Thor: GET.THEE..BACK!!!!!!!!! BA-DA_BOOOOMMM!!!!!!!
(With a mighty heave of legendary proportions Thor hurls the Lizard like beings as if they were paper in a hurricane)
Thor: "Monsters ! What hath thou done with my fellow Asgardians !! Where is my father where is ODIN !!"

Thor: "Now beasts Feel the wrath of the son of Odin!!"
(Thor begins to whirl Mjolnir around his head , creating a massive wind storm that scatters the lizards)
Thor: "Thou hath sown the wind monsters, now feel the FURY of its MASTER !!!"
WHRAKKOOOOMMMM!!!
(Suddenly through the whirling storm a figure can be seen struggling toward Thor. It is the massive figure of Odin)
Odin: "Stand thee down my son, it is thy sire Odin !"
Thor: "Father? Is it truly you? I am partially blinded by these beasts father, my vision has not returned in full as yet."

(Odin strides purposefully towards Thor as Thor begins to weaken the winds)
Odin: "Of course it is I my son, verily, who else BUT Odin could approach thee through thy righteous fury?"
Thor: "Father , my heart doth sing to hear thy voice. What hath transpired here?"
(Odin gets closer)
Odin: " Why my son these beings are known as "the old ones" They are the true gods all others are mere shades of."
Thor :"What father? What sayest thou?"
(Thor still stands, rubbing his eyes, obviously still not seeing well at all)
Odin:" I said trusting fool, that YOU are the impostor here and I am the true god !"

(Suddenly "Odin" raises his arm and blasts Thor point blank, blowing him through another home on the ancient cobblestone street. Thor slumps to the ground , unconscious.)
Odin: "Pompous godling, (As he speaks, his form shimmers, and begins to change) even at full strength you would've had no chance against SSSothgarn, Lord of the Old Ones. !!"
(He is now fully transformed into the largest of the Lizards, with an eight foot tail and corded muscles like cables beneath reptilian scales)
SSSothgarn: "Bring him to his former home, the castle of Asgard. Let him be a guesssst there, one lassssst time. Hahahahahahahahahahaha!"
(Several of the reptilians grab Thors unconscious form and carry him away as SSSothgarn continues laughing.)
Page 6: Thor hangs, unconscious from a dungeon wall . Large chains bind his wrists and ankles, as does a massive collar around his neck. He wears nothing save the shorts he had on while sleeping
SSSothgarn: "Awaken godling, it is time for your education."
Sssothgarn throws a bucket of water in Thors' face
Thor: "What? Where Am I? "
Thors vision begins to clear as he sees the creature before him clearly for the first time.

Thor: " Demon !! I'll tear out thy venomous heart! Where are my people? "
Sssothgarn: " You are in no position to isssssssue threats Assssssgardian. I am Sssothgarn,
leader of the old ones. This (He waves his arm around himself) Was all ours at one time, a
millennia before you were born. I was prayed to for centuries before you or your father existed."
Thor: "I have heard no tell of thee monster, thou art spewing lies between thy venomous teeth."
Sssothgarn:" Perhaps I am godling, perhaps not. As I was saying , my followers were there
sacrificing humans to me in an age undreamed of.Ancient Stygia was MYcusp of power. My
people roamed the streets, using our shape shifting abilities to blend in as the lowly Chameleon
does by changing his colors."

Sssothgarn: "From before Atlantis sank we were there. My followers prayed to my divine self
as well as my fellow gods of the Scale ,we prospered. Humans became slaves and the land was
ours. Then came other gods, these Gods empowered humans in massive numbers to resist us as
they themselves did battle us on the Godly plains. At this time Odin was born and a mighty
warrior he became. The final battle for this land took place between myself and he. We battled
for days unending, the heavens rocked with our power. On Earth the oceans drank Atlantis and
Lemuria disappeared soon after. Our battle was a thing unheard of before this time. Gods
warring upon each other to decide the fate of a world !!! Oh the glory of it all!!!"
Thor : "As glorious as you recall it Sssothgarn, obviously thou hadst lost."
Sssothgarn spins, obviously enraged , his massive tail sweeping the air with a fury that literally
hums.
Sssothgarn: "Do not tempt my fury puny one, you are in no way able to defend yourself from
my wrath"
He smashes Thor with his tail. Obviously Thor is angered and begins to pull at his chains
Page 9: Sssothgarn:"Those chains are mystic in nature boy, you cannot break them !! Such is
my power!!"
Thor: "Mayhap monsterbut none may say me NAY!!" BRA-KOOOMMMMM!!!
With a massive burst of strength Thor pulls the chains from the wall, pulling half the wall down
on top of Sssothgarn.
Thor: " Aye beast, the chains were unbreakable but not the wall they were attached to !"
Suddenly the rubble moves and the massive Lizard god shrugs the debris away and stands tall,
his full height of 8' apparant, as is the 8' tail behind him

Sssothgarn: "Very well pup, if battle you would want, then so be it after what you did to my
daughter, then this is perhaps the way it shopuld be !!"
Sssothgarn flings himself at Thor, who is rocked backwards by the monsters might
Thor:" Well struck beast, now tis MY turn"
Thor fires off a massive right , that sends the Demon thing pwards, crashing through the
ceiling above, and several stories up as well
Thor: "So the demon in my bed chambers was thy daughter eh? Now tis time thou felt what
she did!"

Leaping up throught the shattered floors Thor catches a blast of energy from the beast
square in the chest and is hurled out the side of the palace royal itself.
Sssothgarn : "I see you are going to be difficult welp, but you WILL bow before4 my might.
"
Thor: "The son of Odin bows to noone, save the All father himself !!"
Thor reaches out his hand to the sky and closes his eyes concetrating, on a nearby street
several of the lizardbeings struggle to pry Mjolnir from the ground

As if on its own Mjolnir suddenly flies away, around corners of the Mystic realm it flies and into Thors own waiting hand
(All of the above was in a birds eye view as it were, concluding as it lands in Thors hand)
Thor : "Now monster , I will ask again, WHERE ARE MY PEOPLE ?"
Sssothgarn: "Fool, your people were gone for a year, your own father did this, scattering
them to protect them from Ragnarok. After a long absence they returned."

Sssothgarn: "And I was waiting. I and my fellow old ones watched as Odin battled the
egyptian godling Set, finally Odin and your people prevailed and when they did, I struck! I
knew weakened as Odin was from his ordeal he would not be able to protect himself and
your fellow Asgardians from my wrath. I sent him where he had sent me and mine
centuries before, to a nameless Limbo that has been our prison! Now it is theirs. It took me
and my fellows countless centuries to free ourselves, that is your brethrens fate now !!"
Thors face is shocked But with a roar he attacks again, hurling Mighty Mjolnir at his
adversary
Thor: "For Odin, for Asgard !! "

Mjolnir strikes Sssothgarn full in the face, snapping him backwards and away, as it
returns to the thunder gods hand he begins to whirl it on his right hand side.
Thor : " We do battle in earnest now demon and as such I will be garbed for the role."
Thor pulls from the swirling vortex a leathern sack, inside it is one of his most prized
posessions.
With a roar of air Thor flies skyward, allighting to a parapet of castle Asgard, there he dons his warriors armor* his belt of strength and his mighty gauntlets of power.
(*Last seen being worn by Thunderstrike , in an issue of that late, lamented book. Poor
Eric, we knew him well.---Reminicsin Ralph)
Looking down upon the crowd of lizard gods below, he roars
Thor: " Now beasts, feel the fury of the one TRUE god amongst ye!"
And with a leap Thor is off the roof and flying towards his enemies

Interlude one
A man enters an empty building on Manhattans upper west side. He is shrouded in
mystery, his face unseen. Behind him is a woman talking constantly
Woman: "As you can see sir, the whole building is vacant, just as you said you were looking
for. It's an open ,empty building, 10 stories tall and---."
With a wave of his hand the man silences her, he looks upwards
Man: "Yes, I'll take it. Send the papers to my office immediately. I want to move in
tomorrow."
Woman "Tomorrow sir? That is quite unorthodox an almost impossible I---"
He spins quickly looking at her, no Glaring at her
Man: "Nothing is impossible, do it, I will cover all costs, whatever they may be."

In the mountains of Norway , one of those very Mountains explodes outward with a blast of
incredible power. Suddenly and so quickly as to almost be invisible, a crimson cloaked
figure hurtles away into the mid-day sky, sun glinting off a shined war helm

Thor flies down from on high, plowing through the Lizard gods like a scythe through wheat. the landing he raises Mjolnir high and brings it down with all his legendary might!! BADABADAKOOOOOOMMM!
The Lizard gods are thrown about from the resultant seismic shockwave.

Thor spins Mjolnir over in his hand, facing the handle end down then solidly smacks the
handle twice against the ground , creating an instant Monsoon, the likes of which has never
been seen before!!
Thor: "I will Raze Asgard Entire Afore I allow the likes of thee to occupy it foul
creatures."
Sssothgarn: " I will KILL you Thunder god !!! Never before, not even in battle against
your father have I faced such a tenacious foe! you've more then earned my enmity !!"
Sssothgarn advances on Thor and throws both his hands forward, expelling huge blasts of mystic energy!
Thor graasps Mjolnir with both hands and counters with all his power at his command !!
Bakooooomm!!
the resultant explosion throws both opponents backwards and away.

Thor is the first to regain his footing
Thor: "My fury is boundless now demon thou and thy ilk will leave whence thou came,
back to thy venemous void!"
Thor begins to spin Mjolnir overhead, faster then the mortal eye can follow, a massive
twister ensues, easily a mile across overhead. the Lizard men try to run but Lightening
from the storm strike them down in their tracks,
Nameless Lizard god : "Sssothgarn, save us, this Assssgardian isss a demon from the pitsss
!! We cannot fight him, he overwhelmsss usss!!"
SSSothgarn: "Cowardly curr, you do no justice to our race, face your doom like a
GOD.!!!"
SSSothgarn picks up the terrified Lizard god and hurls him at Thor, who smacks him away
and intop the twister.
Thor : " NOw I will use your own long affinity with that other dimension to return thee to
thy once and future home monsters."

Thor: ( I will use Mjolnirs ability to open other dimensions by getting the very nature of that foul place from the bodies of these beasts, using there own aura to find the foul dimension itself! But if I can contact Odin himself....)
"Father !! Hear thy sons call!! help me to save thee and all of the nine worlds!! Guide my
hand father!! "
Sssothgarn: "Whelp!! No one can hear you , or save your brethren, but I will not go back
without your death! "
Sssothgarn throws himself at Thor from behind, tackling him Thor hurls
Sssothgarn away, leaping to his feet, he flies through the air and into Ssothgarn,
toppling another castle wall, all the while the Cyclone spins mightily overhead.

Thor: "Foul creature, I expected no better from you, your cowardly attack is l.ike all
snakes in the grass."
All of the other Lizard gods are now sucked in to the cyclone, lightening is blanketing the
ground as the storm is furiously destroying everything in its path. Sensing the truth, that he
has finally lost SSsothgarn begins to run.
Thor: "You 'll not escape my wrath demon, back to the hell you so deserve i send thee!!"
Sssothgarn: "YOU are the demon Asssgardian, I will not go back, I would rather die before
that !!"
Sssothgarn runs towards the rainbow bridge, with Thor in hot pursuit, he turns and fires
multiple mystic blasts at Thor. Thor fights his way through them, closing quickly as the
deluge continues. Lightening strikes SSSothgarn repeatedly, but he will not fall, instead he
redoubles hi attack on Thor.
Thor: "Thy battle is over monster, join thy like in the prison Odin hath created for thee."

Sssothgarn: "Never thunderer, do you hear? NEVER NEVER !!!!!"
Sssothgarn hurls himself one last time at Thor and the two lock in a death grip, hands on
each others throats, faces inches away from each others!! Then Sssothgarn spits into thors
face, only this time Thor is ready! He drops his head down, catching the venom on his
helmet, it bounces back into SSothgarns own face, causing him immense pain.
Thor: "Never think a true warrior falls for the same ruse twice Lizard !!"
Sssothgarn: "AAAaarrrrrggghhh my eyes !! My eyes !!"

Sssothgarn punches his way past Thor and runs screaming and blind, right off the
rainbow bridge
Sssothgarn: "Aaaarrrggghhhhh, aahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!"
Thor: " No you fool !! He's forever lost now atween the dimensional void that exists twixt
Asgard and midgard.
Thor turns and walks back into the realm as a voice calls from behind
Voice: "Fear not for thy enemy Thunder god !! In the end he received his just reward!'
Thor spins, and through the storm he sees shadowy figures approach, many of them !!
Tapping Mjolnir on the ground thrice more he ends the mighty storm and suddenly there
stand in all their majestic glory , The Lost Gods of asgard !!!
Thor:" Father!! My fellow Asgardians !! you all have returned!"

Odin: "Aye my son but only through your power !!Well done my son, well done indeed
!!"
Thor: "You saw my father?"
Odin: " Aye my son as did we all, from the moment thou hath returned to Asgard to this we
saw all that hath transpired. Only thy unwavering loyalty and might hath saved us all as
well as Midgod itself.!"
Suddenly Thors eyes seem to roll up as his legs give out beneath him.
Sif: "Thor!"
She runs towards his collapsing form as the Enchantress likewise albeit slower,takes the
same steps towards his slumped form.
Volsatagg: "I will carry him myself to the Leeches* upon my own mighty shoulders!!"
* Doctor
Odin: "No Brave Volstagg, none will carry Thor save his own sire this day."
Odin kneels and lifts the unconscious Thor
