A serve is indeed a special gift given to a Master or Mistress however sometimes a serve truly goes unappreciated. Maybe it is the fact that in some cases the concept of a serve lost it’s respect, appeal and even it’s interests. There was a time when serves would be watched by A/all in the room..but nowadays one serves while there is conversation of Dr’s visits, or favorite TV show, or latest gossip going around, which is a shame. A serve should really be done in a small room with few people and not at the same time as another. Although that is sometimes impossible, but either a private serve or a small room would be the best for viewing. Plus a serve is a gift to the Master/Mistress…so it should only be for there eyes only to truly be special.
However this is a letter to Masters and Mistress because many times I have seen that serves truly do go unappreciated. A sub/slave..works there hardest typing an sensual, lengthy serve and all a Master or Mistress can say is "sips drink."
Also many times I see Master and Mistress engage in conversation while watching the serve. If You are talking how can You truly be watching? Unless if you have the Gorean mindset where a slave must serve anyway so it doesn’t matter if a slave serves You…You still are going to discuss council business of the Ubars victories or whatever the topic it.
If there is any respect for Your sub…show them that You appreciate their efforts. Comment on their form, there look, tell them how You truly feel. And don’t just "sip drink" what fun is that. What is the aroma of the drink…is it cold hot…how does the drink make you feel. For remember a sub/slave who truly feel appreciated and wanted would be a happy sub/slave..and a happy sub/slave makes a happy Master/Mistress. *smiles*
A serve is a special gift to You. A good serve not one enhances You as a Master/Mistress, but it accentuates the submission and devotion to You. So enjoy it and appreciate a sub/slaves true effots.
