the discworld geography

the directions on the discworld are hubward and rimward,and also against the turn and with the turn.the places that are closer to the hub are never get too much heated by the sun,and as we're getting closer to the rim,it gets more hot.also,the magical field of the discworld is stronger on the hub than the rim.the two main main seas/oceans are the Circle Sea,which circles around the Unnamed Continent,and the Rim Ocean,which is close to the rim.

right in the hub,we find Kori Celesti,where the gods live.a chain of cold mountains covers this tower,and there we can find all sort of creatures like yettis(a kind of snow trolls),and other weird creatures.after these mountains,we find another chain of mountains,called the Ramtops.the most known place there is Lancre,a large kingdom by the Ramtops standarts.in Lancre there are manny villages with funny names like Bad-Ass.it's where the three witches live-Granny Wheaterwax,Nanny Ogg,and Magrat,who becomes the queen of Lancre after she marries Verance,who was the fool,but became the king in the book Wyrd Sisters.the magic field in the Ramtops is very storng,and most of the wizards and the witches are from there.in the ramtops we can find a lot of stone circles,who were built by druids.but in Lancre there is one stone circle which leads to the world of elves.this stones are called the Dancers.another path to the other world of elves is inside three burial mounds shaped like a big tonker...it's called the Long Man.a very poupolar drink in the Ramtops is scumble,which is made from apples and....no one knows what else,except you should'nt put it on any kind of metal,that's for sure.another places on the Ramtops is Skund,which means:"your-finger-you-fool".more places are Slice,Cooperhead,and Llamedos,where Imp .E. Kellin,the character from the book Soul Music,came from.

if we go rimward,we find the Sto-Plains,where you can see a lot of cabbage fields.in there,there is the city Sto-Lat,which is featuring on the book Mort,and rulled bu princess Kelly.Sto-Helit is her twin city,and from the book Mort until the book Soul Music,it's rulled by Mort and Iisablle.if we go one rimward,we'll find Ankh-Morpork,the biggest city on the discworld.there is a lot to say about Ankh-Morpork.it used to have monarchy,but now the ruler is the Patrichian,Lord Vetinari.Ankh-Morpork has a lot of guilds.here's a few of them:the assassions guild,the thievs guild,the beggars guild,the merchants guild,the alchemists guild ,the musicans guild,and so on.there are a lot of bars in Ankh-Morpork,but the most famous one is the Broken Drum,that already in the book The Coulor Of �Magic gets burned,but rebuilds and called the Mended Drum.it's located on filigerry street.in Sator square,the Unseen University is located.next to the Unseen University,there is the Tower Of Art,which is very ancient.the Shades is a very dangerous area in Ankh-Morpork.the river is called the Ankh,and the woter in it are very...solid.the smell of Ankh-Morpork is another experience by itself.if we continue rimward,we find Quirm,where there is a big clock and that's about says everything about this quiet city.the Wyrmberg is a huge moutain,which is very magical and full of dragons that exist only if you beleive in them.another place is Pseudopolis,but not many is known about it.Holywood is a hot place with dunes.it's where the alchemists made moving pictures in the book Moving Pictures.another place is Genua,a kingdom surounded with a swamp.to find out more about Genua,which is a lot like France,read the book Witches Abroad.more unknown places are Gonim,Ecalpon and Chimera.all of these places i mentioned are located in the Unnamed Continent.

the next continent is Klatch.this continent is not very magical,and it's closer to the rim,so it's very hot in there.Klatch is also the name of a nation in the continent Klatch.its capital city is Al-Khally,which features in the book Sourcery.other nations in the continent Klatch are Djelibeby,which features in the book Pyramids,and it has a lot of pyramids that suck all of the time,untill Ptraci becomes the ruler.Djelibeby is very simillar to Egypt,and it's between two other kingdoms-Ephebe and Tsort.Tsort also has a lot of pyramids,but Ephebe is more modern,and very simillar to Greece.another place is Omnia,which features in the book Small Gods.in Omnia,the leading god is Om,and the people there beleive that the world is a sphere,and has two poles.in the book Witches Abroad we find out about Al-Ybi,which here serrif was cursed by a witch.the course was meant to be that everything he will tuch will turn into gold,but the witch was confused and said glod.Glod was a dwarf who lived in the Ramtops,and suddenly found himself been transferd to Al-Ybi,and there he duplicated.now,the people of Al-Ybi are known for their hot-temper and they are very short,too.Howandaland is a very misterious country.it gots great jungles and wild animals.The Great Nef is a very weird place,where there are sand,water,and a combination of the two-a kind of a silver sand where ships can sail.it is the site of the light dams of the sorca people and the lost city of Ee,where the first pizza was invented.another place is the kingdom of the Tezuma,where we find the Tezuman empire

the Counter Weight Continent is the smallest continent on the discworld,but it weighs more than the other contients togheter,and that's,according to the myth,is because it is made out of gold.this is'nt true,but gold is defienetly a very common metal there.most of this continent belong to the Agatean Empire,which is very simillar to China.the ruler in there is the ceasor,which right now is Cohen The Barbarian,who invaded it in the book Intresting Times.all of the empire is surrounded by a wall.the main cities are Bes Pelargic,the port city,where Twoflower lived and heard stories about other lands from the sailors.he decided to sail over there,found rincewind,and their adventures are been told in the books The Coulor Of �Magic and The Light Fantatsic.in the book Intresting Times,we find out that when he came back he wrote a book about his adventures abroad,which caused a revoulotion.in the end of the book,Cohen makes him the grand vazier.the capital city of the empire is HungHung.and at least,the city where the ceasor palace lies,is called The Forbbiden City.

the last continent is XXXX.a little is known about it,untill that in the end of the book Intresting Times,rincewind gets there,and in the newest book,The Last Continent,we find out what he's doing there.this continent is very small,and simillar to Australia.this continent contains a lost colony of wizards.

the Brown Islands are located between the Circle Sea and the Counter Weight Continent.the Brown Islands is also known as the land of big waves and men who surf.

Ku is a continent that slipped into the ocean several thousand years ago.it took thirty years to subside; the inhabitants spent a lot of time wading.it went down in history as the multiverse's most embarrassing continental catastrophe.

Leshp is a continent that, up untill recently wasn't visable.it lies in the centre of the circle sea.both Ankh-Morpork and Klatch felt they were both obliged to control the island.the two cities went to war over it, but, before they could get to the nitty gritty of war,the island sank.the brass gongs of Leshp originally came from Leshp.they can still be heard far out in the Circle Sea on stormy nights

finally,the most rimward you can get,there is the island Krul.this island lays right on the rim,that's why sleepwalking is very dangerus over there.in the book The Coulor Of �Magic,we find out that the people of krul are trying to find out more information about Great Atuin,the sea turtle.Krull has a magic university,smaller than the Unseen University,and they let females be wizards as well,unlike the Unseen University.
