(Front cover. In a parody of Avengers #122, we see Bakerman in the place of the Beast, Mindpath in the place of Moondragon, Starshot and Eagle in the place of the Wasp and Yellowjacket.)
Bakerman: Look out, a new member of Group X is coming through!
Cap (N): Enter Bakerman!
(Inside front cover. We see the usual blurbs for Lotus, Eagle, Starshot, Mindpath, Odora, and Quicksand. Beneath that, we see this blurb:)
Bakerman: From an alternate reality, Christopher Mahak possesses the power to throw paralyzing disks of light, superhuman agility and reflexes. He’s wanting to escape from the reality he’s in, and Group X is his ticket out.
(Page 1, panel 1. We see Walking Eagle meditating.)
Cap (N1): It has been over six months since Walking Eagle was separated from the woman he loved.
Cap (N2): But find her, he will...
(Panel 2. Go to his vision. We see him in traditional Choctaw Indian dress, walking in a field. He carries with him a coup stick.)
Cap (E1): The Grandfather is walking with me.
Cap (E2): Perhaps now that I can see past what is there, I will be able to find her.
(Panel 3. Starshot, who is dressed in an Irish bodice and Irish tartan skirt, joins Walking Eagle.)
Starshot: We’re going t’find her, David. We just have t’look.
Eagle: Perhaps she is here, where we cannot see her...
(Panel 4. Eagle waves his stick, creating a rainbow pattern.)
Eagle: It was as I feared.
Starshot: What?
Eagle: She is trapped in another reality. Which one, I cannot determine.
Starshot: The number of alternate realities is infinite, David. How do we know which one t’look into?
(Panel 6. Focus on Walking Eagle’s face.)
Eagle: We consult a higher power.
(Page 2, panel 1. Go back to the meditation room. We see Walking Eagle and Starshot sitting opposite each other.)
Starshot: Higher powers?
Eagle: Come.
(Panel 2. They stand, and walk out.)
Starshot: But the Divine One -
Eagle (interrupts): Has given us an alternate solution.
(Panel 3. They run into Mindpath and Odora.)
Mindpath: Any news?
Eagle: There will be soon.
(Panel 4. They come to the briefing room.)
Eagle: Computer, establish a communication to Reza El-Muhammed.
(Panel 5. The screen shows Reza fighting a large monster.)
Reza: Is this important? I’m busy!
Eagle: We shall call back later.
(Panel 6. The screen goes blank.)
Cap (E1): So close.
Cap (E2): And so far away.
Cap (E3): I won’t rest until you’re back in my arms, Lecita.
(Page 3, panel 1. The screen comes back on to show Reza standing in front of the now-dead monster.)
Reza: What do you want, my friends?
Eagle: We seek your help. We have found out that Lotus lies in an alternate reality. We need to know which one.
(Panel 2. Reza concentrates.)
Reza: I have a list of about 5 realities it could be. You’re just going to have to visit them all until you find her. I’m downloading the vibrational harmonies now.
Eagle: I understand.
(Panel 3. The screen goes blank.)
Eagle: Suit up, everyone. We’ve got to find Lecita!
(Panel 4. We see Walking Eagle, Starshot, Mindpath, Odora, and Quicksand (as Quan) in their uniforms. They are about to enter the Group X plane.)
Eagle: Get ready for a new adventure.
(Page 4, panel 1. Alternate reality #5,923,446. The place looks like it has decayed somewhat, and standing out of the scene is a new sports stadium.)
Cap (N1): Reality 5,923,446.
Cap (N2): A variation of Mojoworld.
Cap (N3): Here, unlike in the Mojoworld we know,
Cap (N4): Mojo's forces soundly defeated The X-Men.
Cap (N5): And they are serving their lives out as the X-Babies.
Cap (N6): But a new hero has risen to the forefront...
(Panel 2. Go inside the stadium to see Bakerman, now wearing a suit of armor, readying himself.)
Cap (B1): Got to stop the insanity...
Cap (B2): Our plans have been made...
Cap (B3): And the time is right...
Cap (B4): Mojo doesn’t expect a thing.
(Panel 3. A guard enters.)
Guard: Time to fight, slave!
Bakerman: This’ll be one fight nobody forgets.
(Panel 4. Bakerman is escorted out of the place. Panel 5. The coliseum. We see Bakerman standing there, looking over the cheering crowd.)
Mojo: ShowTime, Bakerman! Your task is to cross to the other side... or die!
(Panel 5. Mojo pushes some buttons.)
Mojo: We have a really big show tonight, folks!
(Page 5, panel 1. Bakerman touches his forearm, and vanishes.)
Mojo: WHAT!? He’s not supposed to do that!!!
(Panel 2. Bakerman teleports next to Mojo.)
Bakerman: The slave revolt is on, Mojo... and your rein of tyranny is over!
(Panel 3. Bakerman throws a light disk, hitting Mojo as the guards around him open fire.)
SFX: CRACKLE!!
Mojo: UHN!!
(Panel 4. Bakerman strikes one guard with a light disk as he kicks the feet out of another one. The second guard, firing a laser, strikes a third one.)
Bakerman: Slavery is never right.
SFX: CRACKLE!!
Mojo: STOP HIM!!!
(Panel 5. We see Mojo slumped over in his fallen carriage.)
Mojo: Stop him!! Kill him!!!
(Panel 6. Enter Spiral.)
Mojo: Spiral! Baby! You’ve got to stop this!!
Spiral: Oh, I’ll stop it, alright...
(Page 6, panel 1. Spiral pushes Mojo out of the booth, making him fall about 80 feet down.)
Spiral: Good bye, you fat slob.
Mojo: Spiral!! You can’t do this to me!!! I am your master!!
(Panel 2. Spiral strikes the remaining guard with a magical bolt as Bakerman looks over the edge.)
Spiral: I never was your baby and you were never my master.
Bakerman: You are master of your own fate, now... and may Er’kazi have more mercy on your soul than we did.
SFX: SPLAT!!!
(Panel 3. Several more guards enter, firing their weapons. One of them shoots Spiral, killing her.)
SFX: CRACKLE!!
Spiral: AH!!!
Bakerman: Spiral!
(Panel 4. The members of Group X teleport in.)
Eagle: What’s going on here?
Bakerman: Get down!!
(Panel 5. Bakerman makes a diving tackle, sending everyone to the ground as the guards enter and open fire.)
Bakerman: Whoever you are, you’ve teleported into the wrong place. We’re in the middle of a revolution!
(Panel 6. Bakerman is face to face with Starshot. They stare deep into each other’s eyes.)
Bakerman: S-Sarah? But... you’re dead...
Starshot: Who are ye?
(Page 7, panel 1. Bakerman pulls Starshot out of the way as the guards open fire.)
Bakerman (1): Call me Bakerman. Sorry, but I see now by your energy that you’re not the Sarah O’Ridorian I loved.
Bakerman (2): But I must say that’s a nice Irish brogue you have.
(Panel 2. Starshot pulls out her laser, and returns the fire at the guards as she and Bakerman dive for cover. The other members of Group X fight back as the guards assault them as well.)
Starshot: Well, I donna like it when people shoot at me!
(Panel 3. Bakerman Looks at Starshot.)
Bakerman: You’ve got to teleport us out of here.
Starshot: Computer, do it!!
(Panel 4. Group X teleportation room. We see the members of Group X there, as they were before they teleported.)
Bakerman: Thank you so much for saving my life.
Eagle: We would like some explanations here.
(Page 8, splash page. Leave room for credits here. They all stand and face each other.)
Bakerman (1): My name is Bakerman, or rather, Christopher Madhak. I was kidnapped from Earth when I was a child for Mojo’s amusement. However, I was part of a slave revolt against Mojo, and now the leaders of the revolt are converging on Mojo’s strongholds... without their leader, the Mojo elite guard will be confused. My mission was that of a suicide one.... I thought I would end up as dead as Mojo did. You have my greatest thanks for saving me.
Eagle: Well, why were you wanting to depose him?
Bakerman (2): Mojo was a cruel leader, he made people fight for his amusement, and thrived on entertaining the masses... but when we showed them the true evil of his rein, his popularity began to wane... and we even conned his right hand woman, Spiral, to betray him... She was to join me on the suicide mission.... and we’re too late to save her.
(Page 9, panel 1. Eagle is pragmatic.)
Eagle: You have to return to them, and let them know you are alright.
Bakerman: No - I am better off seen as a martyr - someone who died for justice. I really could never be a true leader like the alliance wants me to be. I just did what needed to be done. My life, my training, is twofold - to cook and to fight. No, I am better off being seen as being dead. My being alive would fracture a fragile alliance - people who would want me to be leader vs. the people who want the leaders who can do the job.
(Panel 2. Starshot is serious.)
Starshot: Chris, go back. Lend your support to those who need it.
Bakerman: Sarah, it’s far more complicated than you know.
(Panel 3. Starshot moves close to Bakerman.)
Starshot: But it’s the right thing to do.
Bakerman: Alright, Sara. For you, I’ll do it.
(Panel 4. Group X teleports down to see Mojo’s guards surrendering to the alliance.)
Major Domo: Christopher! You’re alive!
Bakerman: Yes, thanks to my new friends.
(Panel 5. Bakerman broadcasts on the television.)
Bakerman: My friends, the job is but half done. Mojo is dead. His empire is now crumbling before you. We need unity, we need someone who can lead us into a new era, one free of tyranny, one free of brainwashing, and one where everyone can be free. The man to do that is Major Domo. He must be our new leader. My work here is done, I have done all I can. But the people with me need me more than the new leadership does. Therefore, I have a moral duty to go with them, and free their land. Farewell, my friends, you may see me again sometime.
(Panel 6. Bakerman turns to Starshot.)
Bakerman: Teleport us back, please.
(Page 10, panel 1. Group X is back in the teleportation room.)
Bakerman: You are a team, are you not? I wish to join that team.
Eagle: We will have to consider it...
(Panel 2. Starshot turns away.)
Starshot: I know what ye want t’join this team for - and no, I donna like ye one bit.
Bakerman: I’m not asking you to love me. I’m asking to be your teammate. The Sarah I knew was a loving, caring woman, one who wouldn’t rush judgements on anyone.
(Panel 3. Starshot exits.)
Starshot: I’m nae her and I’ve seen enough of ye t’know that I donna want ye around here.
Bakerman: SARAH!!
Eagle: Let her go, Bakerman.
(Panel 4. Bakerman faces Eagle.)
Bakerman: Because you know the spirit far better than I do, I will... for now. What is wrong with her that she would do such a thing?
Mindpath: The men she’s loved before... all of them have had tragedy happen to them as a result of loving her. One is now an amputee; another is dead.
(Panel 5. Bakerman looks at the others.)
Bakerman: Then I ask the rest of you to let me in the team... I can be a very valuable team member. I am very agile and the light disks I throw disrupt electron flowing in a given area.
(Panel 6. The others gather around.)
Eagle: Well, Starshot’s vote is clear. How do the rest of you feel?
Quan: I feel he can be a valuable team member. His energy seems similar enough to ours.
Mindpath: I canna read his mind too well... it’s partially blocked, like Quan’s is. But what I can read, I like. We’ve already lost George, Carol, and Vicki. We can’t afford to lose more. We should have him here, even if Sara doesn’t want him.
Odora: I’m inclined ta agree with Simon... we need someone ta replace the people we’ve lost. Besides, we didna look for Lecita down there.
(Page 11, panel 1. Eagle is serious.)
Eagle: A person’s energy signature is as unique as a fingerprint... I would have been able to sense her when we got there. She was not there.
(Panel 2. They end their aside.)
Eagle: You are welcome to join Group X, Bakerman... but that armor has to go.
Bakerman: I’d like to get rid of it too. If you show me where I can get rid of it, I’d be grateful.
(Panel 3. Eagle leads Bakerman off.)
Eagle: I will show you. Simon, talk to your sister.
Bakerman: Interesting... my Sarah never knew she had a brother.
(Panel 4. Mindpath, Odora, and Quan exit to find Starshot in the lounge, annoyed and looking around.)
Mindpath: Sis...
Starshot: Donna ye start on me, Simon.
(Panel 5. Mindpath sits next to Starshot.)
Mindpath: I just wanted you to know he’s now a member of Group X.
(Panel 6. Visibly annoyed, Starshot turns away.)
Odora: Let it out, Sara. It’s nae doing ye good ta keep it in.
(Page 12, panel 1. Starshot turns to Odora.)
Starshot: I’m a woman, not some trophy to be bantered around like a prize. Chris thinks that because he loved a different me I’ll jump right into his arms. I want t’have a say in who I love.
(Panel 2. We see Bakerman there, now dressed in his uniform.)
Bakerman: I’m not asking you to love me...(although it would be nice if you did...) I’m asking you to accept me. I know it’s not easy, having someone whom loved another you thrusted upon you.*
Cap (N): * And only in the Marvel Universe (or my side-continuity) would something this convoluted happen.
(Panel 3. Starshot stands.)
Starshot: I am me own person, Bakerman. Donna ever ye ferget that.
(Panel 4. Bakerman smiles.)
Bakerman: That’s all I want you to be. Well, be angry with me for now. Hopefully soon you’ll come around and accept me as a friend. That’s all I’m asking.
(Panel 5. Starshot exits.)
Starshot: We should leave ye in the next bloody hellhole we can.
(Page 13, panel 1. Reality #5565. We see the place as a run-down, desolate place. We see an old 1970’s Ford cargo van driving down a dusty road.)
Cap (N1): Reality #5565.
Cap (N2): Here, the stock market crash of 1987 lead to a second great depression.
Cap (N3): This van is all that Group X owns.
Cap (N4): It’s where they live, how they get around, and their headquarters.
Cap (N5): Most production has ceased in this reality.
Cap (N6): Unemployment is around 77%.
Cap (N7): Top wage earners get about $2.50 a day.
Cap (N8): Of course, a gallon of milk costs $30.
Cap (N9): The reason is simple: Crime.
(Panel 2. The van stops.)
Eagle: We have run out of gas again.
(Panel 3. Enter Walking Eagle, Lotus, Starshot, Bakerman, and Quicksand from the van. They wear their uniforms, which are dirty and disheveled.)
Lotus: I know it’s difficult, David. But we’ve got to keep going. We’re just going to have to push.
(Panel 4. Group X pushes the van into a gas station.)
Cap (N1): Inflation here is about 2500%.
Cap (N2): All currencies are more or less worthless.
(Panel 5. Lotus goes up to the cashier.)
Lotus: We’re going to need about 20 gallons here.
Cashier: That’ll be $3,900.
(Panel 6. Lotus hands the woman some money.)
Cashier: I’ll let you know how much the price has jumped when you’re finished.
(Page 14, panel 1. They finish pumping the gas.)
Cap (N1): About 15 minutes later.
Cap (N2): And pumping the gas...
Cashier: You owe me an additional $250.
Lotus: Right.
(Panel 2. Lotus hands her some money.)
Cashier: Have a nice day.
(Panel 3. They get back into the van, and start it up.)
Lotus: Well, we’re good to go for awhile longer.
(Panel 4. Go inside to see only the driver’s chair in it. The rest of the van has a mattress on the floor with a cutout for the driver’s chair.)
Bakerman: I keep thinking that there’s something we can do to help this situation, something that we can do that will really make a difference.
Lotus: Chris, we work for justice. That’s all we can do.
(Panel 5. Go outside to see the standard Group X plane appear.)
Starshot: Is that an airplane?
Eagle: It cannot be. Nobody has the money to run one.
(Panel 6. The plane lands near the Group X van.)
Bakerman: It is an airplane!
Lotus: We should investigate with caution.
(Page 15, panel 1. Walking Eagle, Bakerman, and Quan exit from the plane.)
#616 Eagle (the one from the plane): Interesting...
#5565 Eagle: Are you who I think you are?
(Panel 2. Eagle #616 nods.)
#616 Eagle: We have come looking for our Lotus. She has been trapped in a different reality. But I see we have found only a counterpart.
Lotus: David, if you value life, if you value friendship... help us out.
(Panel 3. Eagle gestures.)
Eagle: Our home is yours to share.
Lotus: We’ve been living on little for over 10 years now. The economy here is in shambles.
(Panel 4. Bakerman opens the door.)
Bakerman: Come, we’ve got showers, washers, and plenty to eat.
(Panel 5. Later. We see the #5565 members of Group X sitting at a table, with the #616 members of Group X. They have finished their meals, and the #5565 Group X members are in clean uniforms, and have cleaned up.)
Cap (N1): Hours later.
Cap (N2): The members of Group X from reality #5565 have taken their first shower in months.
Cap (N3): They have had their first full meal in years.
Lotus: Thank you for pulling us back from disaster. But we need help to save this planet. Anarchy rules the land. We need to bring about peace and order for everyone.
(Panel 6. Eagle thinks.)
#616 Eagle: I can leave you with a few things.
(Page 16, panel 1. The Group X van has been renovated. It now looks sleek and new. Both teams stand next to it, with the plane in the background.)
#616 Eagle: The van now utilizes the Light continuum technology we have. Use it wisely, my friends.
Lotus: We will, David.
(Panel 2. The #616 Group X members enter their plane, and go off.)
Lotus: I hope he finds his me.
Eagle: Come, we’ve got a new place to live.
(Panel 3. Go back inside the Group X plane. The members of Group X look around the place.)
Starshot: Now I suppose ye think I’ll bound right inta yer arms because I saw how happy they were.
Bakerman: You’ve made it clear how you feel about me, Sara. You don’t need to harp on it.
(Panel 4. Suddenly the plane is knocked off course, and the members go tumbling into a corner.)
SFX: WHAM!!
Mindpath: What the--!?
(Panel 5. We see the members of Group X piled up in one corner. Starshot is now lying on top of Bakerman, Odora is on top of Mindpath, and the others are strewn amongst the two of them.)
Eagle: That was nasty. Is everyone alright?
(Panel 6. We see Bakerman and Starshot locking eyes.)
Cap (N): And sometimes, things go differently.
Bakerman: Are you alright, Sara?
(Page 17, panel 1. Starshot stands.)
Starshot: Aye - no thanks t’ye.
Bakerman: What is it about me that makes you hate me so much? I have apologized for everything, is that not good enough?
(Panel 2. The others stand.)
Eagle: Sara, I would like to speak to you alone for a moment.
(Panel 3. Aside, Eagle and Starshot. The others exit.)
Eagle: His energy is compatible with yours. Yet you choose not to love him, nor like him.
Starshot: It just doesna feel right, David. I donna need a man in me life right now.
(Panel 4. Eagle smiles.)
Eagle: Are you saying that because you actually feel nothing for him... or because there’s some kind of inside fear of commitment?
Cap (S): Ouch.
(Panel 5. Starshot turns away.)
Starshot: It’s nae that - how would you feel if suddenly someone came up and hit on ye?
Eagle: Being a man, I cannot answer that for you. It is different for men than it is women. When we find Lecita, we will see what she says.
(Page 18, panel 1. We see them in another reality, at Group X headquarters.)
Cap (N1): And still another reality...
Cap (N2): Group X finds its way home... sort of.
Mindpath: Computer, status since last update.
Computer voice: There have been no opportunities for crime since last update.
(Panel 2. The members of Group X face each other, looking uneasy.)
Bakerman: Crime? You guys commit crimes?
Computer voice: Attention! Data conflict! We have DNA scans of the Group X members in two places at the same time!
(Panel 3. They turn to leave.)
Eagle: That is our cue to leave.
Voice (From off panel): You’re not going anywhere.
(Panel 4. They turn to see the evil versions of themselves that inhabit this reality.)
Evil Lotus: You’ve got some explaining to do.
Eagle: We were looking for my Lecita. Since she is not here, we will leave.
(Panel 5. The evil Group X advances.)
Evil Lotus: Not so fast. I sense good from you. You’ve got to die now.
Eagle: Some other time, perhaps...
(Page 19, panel 1. We see the members of the evil Group X spot a grenade that the pin has been pulled out.)
Computer voice: Attention! Attention! Explosive device detected!!
Evil Lotus: Quick! Teleport it -
(Panel 2. Go back to the Group X plane. We see them in the cockpit.)
Eagle: This is it, the last one on the list.
Bakerman: It’s always the last one, isn’t it?
(Panel 3. They enter a reality where the world is a flat plain. We see Lotus in her spirit form on the ground.)
Eagle: That’s her. We’ve found her.
Starshot: Something doesna feel right.
(Panel 4. The members of Group X teleport down to where Lotus is.)
Eagle: Lecita, it’s me, David. I’ve come to bring you home.
(Panel 5. Lotus turns solid. She has a worried look about her.)
Lotus: David, quickly, teleport us out before -
(Page 20, panel 1. Suddenly a barrage of spiked balls come flying at them.)
Lotus: Don’t let them touch you! They explode on contact!
(Panel 2. Group X hits the ground as Quan turns to Quicksand.)
Lotus: I haven’t been able to communicate with them, but they do seem sentient.
(Panel 3. Eagle grits his teeth as the balls continue to assault them.)
Eagle: The teleporters are not responding - something’s blocking them. I’ll try landing the plane with the autopilot.
(Panel 4. Suddenly Walking Eagle is hit from behind, and an explosion ensues.)
SFX: BOOM!!
Lotus: DAVID!!!
(Panel 5. We see Quicksand hit with a ball, which explodes, sending a shower of sand everywhere.)
SFX: BOOM!!
Lotus: QUAN!!
(Page 21, panel 1. The plane lands as Quicksand gathers herself.)
Lotus: Hurry!
(Panel 2. Lotus and Bakerman pull Walking Eagle into the plane as Quicksand pulls herself together.)
Lotus: Hurry Quan!
Panel 3. Quicksand enters the plane, and shuts the door as a spiked ball hits the door.)
SFX: BOOM!!
All: UHN!
(Panel 4. We see Bakerman and Lotus carry Walking Eagle to the infirmary.)
Lotus: Well, I see we have a new member here.
Bakerman: The name’s Bakerman, but call me Chris.
(Panel 5. They lay Walking Eagle on a bed in the infirmary.)
Lotus: Computer, broadcast healing sound.
(Page 22, panel 1. The computer broadcasts the healing sound.)
SFX: Hmmm...
(Panel 2. Eagle sits up.)
Eagle: Computer, end broadcast.
Lotus: I thought I’d never see you again.
(Panel 3. The other team members exit as Lotus and Eagle embrace.)
Lotus: God I’ve missed you.
Eagle: I feel complete again, Lecita. I feared that I would never be in your arms again.
Bakerman: I think they should be left to their own vices.
(Panel 4. They kiss. Panel 5. They part lips.)
Lotus: We’ve got a lot of lost time to make up for.
(Panel 6. Go back to Mindpath, Odora, Bakerman, Starshot, and Quan. We see them in the cockpit piloting the ship, except for Bakerman.)
Bakerman: This place is so wonderful - and I can’t wait to learn more and more from you and the others.
(Page 23, panel 1. Suddenly the plane is knocked off course, and everyone goes flying.)
SFX: WHAM!!!
All: UHN!
(Panel 2. We see them in a pile on the corner again. Starshot is again on top of Bakerman, and the two of them lock eyes.)
Bakerman: The Divine one is trying to tell us something.
(Panel 3. Starshot and Bakerman kiss. Panel 4. They part lips.)
Starshot: Damn ye, Chris. I hate ye and I love ye.
Bakerman: It’s part of the divine plan that we love each other, Sara. Flow with it.
(Panel 5. The two of them stand up together.)
Odora: What hit us?
Quan: Sensors indicate strong electromagnetic fields here.
(Panel 6. Starshot and Bakerman go off to the living area together.)
Starshot: Ye can do this on yer own. I have something more important t’attend to.
(Page 24, panel 1. Follow Starshot and Bakerman to the living area. They sit on the love seat together.)
Bakerman: Let me help you work through these feelings you have, Sara. Talk to me.
Starshot: It’s nae easy f’r me t’explain, Chris...
(Panel 2. They hold hands as they talk.)
Starshot: Every man I've loved has had tragedy befall him. The first one got his leg cut off because of me. Another one is dead. I’ve been very afraid t’love someone since then.
(Panel 3. Bakerman puts an arm around Starshot, while being caring and nurturing to her.)
Bakerman: Any statistician will tell you a sample of two isn’t a very valid sample. I’ve lead a very hard, rough life. A life that was tempered only by my love for your counterpart. She was killed because she loved me. But I don’t let that deter me from loving you. What we have - what we’re capable of - is love that is on par with Lecita and David’s love. We have the chance to make each other very happy all our lives - but you have to let go of the past.
(Panel 4. Focus on Bakerman’s face.)
Bakerman: I can’t make up for the way love has treated you in the past - but I can make love the divine experience it’s designed to be. My emotional baggage has been thrown out the window. You can remove all doubts in your mind if you do the same.
(Panel 5. Go back to see Starshot with her arms around Bakerman.)
Starshot: It’s gonnae take a lot of time, effort and patience t’make this work, love... but I’m willing t’do it.
Bakerman: And so am I.
(Panel 6. They kiss.)
