(Panel 5. Tsejong appears, stepping into the light.)

Tsejong: Welcome, Elektra.
Elektra: Who are you?

(Page 2, panel 1. Tsejong stares deeply into Elektra�s eyes.)

Tsejong: I am Tsejong, and I have been commanded to make sure you are on the true path - prepare yourself, Elektra. To win your freedom, you will have seven tasks ahead of you.
Elektra: What? What have I done to deserve this?

(Panel 2. Tsejong turns away.)

Tsejong: You have chosen the path - now live with this.

(Panel 3. Elektra tries to jump Tsejong, but Tsejong vanishes before she can reach him.)

Elektra: I won�t let you hold me against my will!!

(Panel 4. Elektra looks around.)

Elektra: Whoever you are, you will pay for this.

(Page 3, panel 1. A light comes on, revealing this question on the wall: "Does a dog have Buddha nature?")

Elektra: A simple question. To answer it denies your own Buddha nature.

(Panel 2. Another light comes on to show a door. Elektra now looks at her bent sai.)

Cap (E1): Useless, now.
Cap (E2): Yet I feel I will need it later.

(Panel 3. She takes the sai, and puts it in her leg holster. Panel 4. Elektra listens to the door.)

Cap (E1): I hear nothing.
Cap (E2): But I suspect that silence is an enemy here.

(Page 4, panel 1. Elektra opens the door to see a lavish party put on by her friends. Amongst the people we see Daredevil, Nina, Stick, and Lotus. All are wearing nice shirts and slacks.)

All: Congratulations!
Elektra: There is no cause for celebration.

(Panel 2. Daredevil approaches Elektra.)

Daredevil: Elektra, I was wrong to have left you. I know now that you are the woman for me. Can you ever forgive me?
Elektra: Matt, I am far more than the sheltered daughter of a Greek ambassador that you met all those years ago. Far more, For one thing, I can see through this farce.

(Panel 3. Daredevil kisses Elektra. Panel 4. Elektra pushes Daredevil away from her, slapping him on his face.)

Elektra: Go back to Page, Matt... we have too much in the past for it to work.
SFX: SMACK!!!

(Panel 4. Daredevil attacks Elektra.)

Daredevil: If I can�t have you, nobody will!

(Page 5, panel 1. Elektra connects with a foot to Daredevil�s jaw.)

Elektra: You should know better than that, Matt!
SFX: WHAM!

(Panel 2. Elektra falls down a hole that has suddenly opened up.)

Elektra: What the --!?

(Panel 3. Elektra lands bottom first on a hard floor.)

Elektra: UHN!
SFX: WHUMP!

(Panel 4. Elektra stands, seeing the place full of large stone blocks. The floor consists of these blocks, making it hard to go around the room. There is quite a drop off from the blocks to the bottom.)
Cap (E1): A test of my agility.
Cap (E2): I hope I can do this.

(Page 6, panels 1,2, and 3. We see Elektra jumping around, going from block to block to the middle of the room.)

Cap (N1): And she proves herself up to the task.
Cap (N2): Until the test takes a turn.

(Panel 4. Elektra lands on a block, which starts to sway.)

Cap (E1): Uh-oh.
Cap (E2): The block is unstable.

(Panel 5. The block topples over, and Elektra dives to grab another block. Page 7, panel 1. Elektra gets to the other side.)

Cap (E1): I�ve done it.
Cap (E2): Three down, four to go.

(Panel 2. We see Elektra enter a shopping mall.)

Cap (E1): What kind of a test is this?
Cap (E2): A shopping mall?

(Panel 3. Lotus and Nina approach Elektra.)

Nina: Elektra, you�re just in time!
Lotus: Shopping time!

Elektra: I think not.

(Panel 4. Nina and Lotus take Elektra�s arms, and lead her into a store.)

Lotus: There�s always time for shopping. You�re a very wealthy Greek heiress and you don�t spend enough time shopping.

(Panel 5. Elektra pulls away from Lotus and Nina.)

Elektra: Some things are more important than how one looks.
Nina: You�re kidding, right?

(Panel 6. Elektra backs away.)
Elektra: One does not remain rich by spending one�s money foolishly. You have to conserve what is there, and invest it wisely to make it grow.

(Page 6, panel 1. The scene vanishes.)

Cap (E1): So that�s what this test is.
Cap (E2): Now that I have figured it out,
Cap (E3): It will be easy to go through the other tests.

(Panel 2. The scene changes to a pastoral meadow, with a creek running through it. Elektra looks the place over. Some ancient Greek ruins are in the background.)

Cap (E1): I recognize this place.
Cap (E2): It�s from my childhood.
Cap (E3): But what does it have to do with the tests??

(Panel 3. Enter Hugo Natchios. Elektra is surprised.)

Elektra: Father?
Hugo: Elektra. I am very disappointed in you.

(Panel 4. Hugo gestures to Elektra�s outfit.)

Hugo: Look at yourself. You are dressed like some sleazy woman of the night. This is not what I raised you for.
Elektra: I have grown considerably since your death, father... and I am much better prepared to handle the world now than you ever taught me to be.

(Panel 5. Suddenly Elektra finds herself in a long, frumpy dress.)

Hugo: You will learn to respect your father.
Elektra: What in the --!?

(Panel 6. We see Elektra at a formal ball, still wearing the same dress. Hugo, who is now in a tuxedo, stands next to her.)

Hugo: Smile, Elektra. You are going to have fun.
Elektra: While I am not free, there will be no fun.

(Page 7, panel 1. Elektra tears off her dress to show her uniform beneath it.)

SFX: RRRRIIIIPPPPP!!!!!
Hugo: Elektra!! That�s a Blass original!!

(Panel 2. Elektra faces Hugo.)

Elektra: You did what you thought was best for me, but now I have grown beyond the sheltered child you had. I am not your little girl anymore, father. I am a woman.

(Panel 3. Two guards attempt to seize Elektra, who dodges them.)

Cap (E1): Strong, but slow.
Cap (E2): My reaction time is much faster than their time.
Cap (E3): This is almost too easy.

(Panel 4. Elektra connects with a foot to one of the guard�s chins.)

SFX: WHAM!!

(Panel 5. Elektra falls on the ground, nursing her foot.)

Elektra: UHN!!
Cap (E1): That felt like it was made of steel.
Cap (E2): Time to change tactics.

(Page 8, panel 1. Elektra jumps up.)

Cap (E1): It is very painful.
Cap (E2): But freedom is worth the pain.

(Panel 2. Elektra bashes the heads of the two guards together, revealing that the guards are robots.)
Cap (E1): So I was right.
Cap (E2): Now how will they react?

(Panel 3. We see Hugo pointing a gun at Elektra�s head.)

Hugo: I am most sorry, little amber. You have failed me.

(Panel 4. Elektra knocks the gun away as Hugo fires the gun.)

SFX: BLAM!!
Elektra: You are not my father. I know my father would never try to kill me.

(Panel 5. Elektra thrusts her sai into Hugo Natchios, and sparks fly out. Elektra is electrocuted.)

SFX: FZAPT!!
Elektra: UHN!!

(Page 9, panel 1. Elektra finds herself in a maze.)

Cap (E1): A maze?
Cap (E2): What kind of a test is this?

(Panel 2. Elektra enters the maze.)
Cap (E): Apparently, I have to get through this maze.

(Panel 3. Elektra runs down a path.)
Cap (E): It cannot be that easy, can it?

(Panel 4. Elektra comes to a dead end.)
Cap (E1): A dead end.
Cap (E2): Time to backtrack.

(Page 10, panel 1. Elektra goes back and runs. Panels 2, 3, and 4. We see her run through the maze. Page 11, panel 1. Elektra stops, and gets her bearings.)

Cap (E1): This is confusing.
Cap (E2): I�d swear the maze was changing.

(Panel 2. Elektra turns around to see that the place she came from is now a wall.)

Cap (E1): I was right!
Cap (E2): Well, if they�re going to cheat, so will I.

(Panel 3. Elektra jumps onto a wall.)
Cap (E): So now we�ve got to get to the other side.

(Panel 4. The walls start to grow taller.)

Cap (E): Time is of the essence here.

(Panel 5. The walls grow taller as Elektra goes around the place. Page 12, panel 1. Elektra dives off a wall milliseconds before the wall hits the ceiling in panel 2.)

SFX: WHUMP!
Cap (E): Made it!

(Panel 2. Elektra stands, and dusts herself off.)

Cap (E): Who knows what else I will find here?

(Panel 3. Elektra turns to see MacKinley Stuart there.)

Elektra: Mac...?
Mac: Elektra, you have gotten far here. But the final test is the most difficult of them all.

(Panel 4. Elektra narrows her eyes.)

Elektra: I�m ready for it.
Mac: There�s no way you could prepare for this one, Elektra.

(Page 13, panel 1. At last we see Elektra come face-to-face with a large, muscular man. The man is armed with a tanto.)

Mac: Teach him the ways of enlightenment... before he kills you.
Man: They say I have to kill you to get free... nothing personal, mind you.

(Panel 2. The man charges Elektra, who moves out of the way. Panel 3. The man slashes at Elektra, but she catches his tanto on her sai.)

Cap (E1): He is strong in body.
Cap (E2): But not in the spirit.
Cap (E3): I must use stealth to defeat him.
SFX: Clang!

(Panel 4. The man manages to cut some of Elektra�s hair.)

SFX: CHIFF!!
Cap (E1): That was too close.
Cap (E2): Yet I should not attack.

(Panel 5. The man charges Elektra, who steps out of the way.)

Cap (E): He cannot keep this up forever.

(Page 14, panel 1. The man turns around, and faces Elektra.)

Man: I�ll kill you, witch!!

(Panel 2. Elektra smiles.)

Elektra: You haven�t been successful so far.
Man: AAARRRGGGGHHH!!!

(Panel 3. The man rushes to Elektra.)

Cap (E1): That did it.
Cap (E2): He is like an enraged tiger now.
Cap (E3): And vulnerable.

(Panel 3. The man again lunges, with Elektra catching his tanto on her sai.)

SFX: CLANG!!!
Man: You�re dog meat!!
Elektra: Don�t put me in a grave before I�ve died.

(Panel 4. The man tries to kick Elektra, who dodges the shot.)

Cap (E1): He should be tiring soon.
Cap (E2): That is, if he is human.

(Panel 5. The man dives at Elektra, who gets out of his way.)

Man: GRRRAARRRHHH!!!!

(Panel 6. The man lands on the floor.)

SFX: WHUMP!
Man: OOF!

(Page 15, panel 1. Elektra stands over the fallen man. She puts a foot on his tanto, making it impossible for him to pick up.)

Man: Uhn....
Elektra: Learn from this.

(Panel 2. The man faces Elektra.)

Man: Wha...? *GASP*
Elektra: Look at yourself, now look at me. You have squandered your energy trying to hurt me, and look at what it has gotten you. You are tired, and hurt. I am not yet winded. Such is the true test of a warrior.

(Panel 3. The man sits up.)

Man: I�ve... *PUFF* done this for nothing?
Elektra: Not nothing... unless you choose not to learn from this experience.

(Panel 4. The man stands.)
Man: What do you mean?
Elektra: There are things beyond what your five senses can tell you... things that you need to perceive to be a true warrior.

(Panel 5. The man stares at Elektra.)

Man: Show me these things.

(Page 16, panel 1. The man vanishes.)

Elektra: What now?

(Panel 2. Tsejong appears.)

Tsejong: You have done wonderfully, Elektra. You are now free to go.

(Panel 3. Elektra suddenly finds herself in the living room of her apartment.)

Cap (E1): I am home now.
Cap (E2): But the quest continues forever.

(Panel 4. Enter Nina and Lotus, armed with shopping bags.)

Nina: Hey sleepyhead! Lecita and I have been shopping all day. So how was your day?

(Panel 5. Elektra smiles.)

Elektra: I lived a little, learned a little.

(Panel 6. Lotus smiles.)

Lotus: You�ll have to tell us about this sometime.

(Page 17, panel 1. We see Elektra in Central Park, standing next to a tree. Stick is with her. Elektra wears a nice dress, and Stick wears his uniform.)

Cap (N1): Later.
Cap (N2): Elektra has told Stick what happened.

(Panel 2. They continue to talk.)
Elektra: And then I found myself back in my apartment.

(Panel 3. Stick smiles.)
Stick: You�ve done well, Elektra. There may be hope for you after all.
Elektra: I do not understand.

(Panel 4. Stick turns away, leaving.)

Stick: Seven lights shine on you now.
