Top 10 WoT/Movie Combinations

1. WoT/Alien series: "The Wheel of Aliens"--Three young farmboys must help Power-wielding men and women defeat a bevy of Aliens accidentally brought to Randland via Portal Stone. The Forsaken all decide to help Rand when the DO names the Queen Alien Nae'blis and begins to create Alien/Shadowspawn hybrids. (Balefire, anyone?)

2. WoT/Back to the Future: "Back to the Wheel"--Rand, Mat, and Perrin are all stunned when Marty McFly and the D'lorean (sp?) pop up in Randland. They all go back to the Age of Legends to try to stop the drilling of the Bore before it happens, and the fun begins! ("Egads, Rand, you're beginning to disappear!!")

3. WoT/Star Wars: "Wheel Wars"--A Star Destroyer appears over Randland, stormtroopers are employed, and a rebellion begins. Vader becomes Nae'blis after discovering he's a powerful channeler, and Luke and Rand wind up fighting Tarmon Gai'don together: Luke trying to turn Vader to the Light again and Rand fighting the DO. Meanwhile, Leia can channel as well and becomes Amyrlin instead of Egwene, who is Keeper, and they go after Elaida with a vengeance. It's revealed that the Emperor *is* the Dark One at the end of the movie, and Vader kills him before coming back to the Light thanks to Luke, and Rand gets to bleed and go home. (Hmm...Moiraine and Yoda as teachers...)

4. WoT/Jurassic Park: "Wheel of the Jurassic"--Aginor comes back and makes dinosaurs using blood from bugs trapped in amber from the time just after the Dark One was imprisoned and filling in the needed DNA with the blood of grolm, then breeds new Shadowspawn with the dinosaurs and collects the new critters on a plot of land in the Blight to use later. Rand and company must find them and see how dangerous they are, and destroy them before they wreck havoc on the populace. (Raptor Trollocs!! T-rex gholam! It's "Dinotopia" in an acid-induced nightmare!)

5. WoT/Indiana Jones series: "Indiana Jones and the Wheel of Time"--Indiana Jones pops through a Portal Stone chased by rabid Nazis and Rand helps Indy out. In return, Indy has to find lost *angreal for the Towers. Mat tags along, seeing Indy as his mentor and wanting to learn how to be like him, to help boost Indy's good luck with his own. Indy turns out to be a fourth ta'veren and the Pattern goes bonkers. Perrin gets a cameo appearance. (Bets on if Indy gets Moiraine or steals all three women from Rand...?)

6. WoT/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: "The Wheel of Turtles"--Raphael, Michaelangelo, Leonardo, Donatello, and Splinter meet Rand, Mat, Perrin, Lan, and Moiraine. Once it's established that the Turtles aren't Shadowspawn, they and Splinter teach the WoTers ninjitsu and are in turn taught that a well-placed weave of Air can make all that kicking rather irrelevant. Shredder teams up with the Forsaken and finds he can channel, so bothers Rand to get a little glory and gets balefired like the other Forsaken. (Moiraine: "You are wise for a rat.")

7. WoT/How the Grinch Stole Christmas: "How the Grinch Stole the Wheel"--Think of the Grinch as the Dark One and the dog he has as the Nae'blis. Only the Whos are a bit more vicious and there's blood involved at the end. (I don't think those Trollocs are after the kids' *toys*...)

8. WoT/Star Trek: "Star Trek 10: The Wheel of Time"--Captain Picard and his crew beam down on the new world they find and decide to help the Randlanders fight the Dark One. Data is found to be impervious to the One Power, much like gholam, and Moiraine bonds Picard. Riker and Mat take on the Seanchan. Troi is taken to the Tower for training as a wilder and befriends Egwene, and discovers Cyndane's real identity with her empathy. Worf and Lan become buds and exchange old war stories, then kick major butt along with all the others in Tarmon Gai'don. (Are gholams impervious to phasers?)

9. WoT/E.T.: "The Wheel of the Extra-Terrestrial"--E.T. is left (again) on Randland and becomes friends with Loial because of their mutual plant-loving roots. The Dark One's forces want to catch E.T. so they can learn how to do that nifty glowing thing he does, and so Rand and the others have to protect the otherworldly being until his ship comes back for him. (Sorry, E.T., but the phone lines don't run this far out...)

10. WoT/The Never-ending Story: "The Never-ending Story"--Rand picks up a book and begins to read after being chased into a library. He finds himself drawn into the tale of a man named Robert Jordan and his never ending series more and more until he becomes *part* of it as a character in one of the books Jordan is writing and must save the fantasy world from destruction. Unfortunately, he can't seem to find his way to the end where he's supposed to save it all and so he keeps reading and reading and reading.... (Oh, nevermind, that's what we're living right now.)
