What I Am/ Untapped Veins/
Undead
by -Lee Clark
What I Am
I resisted at first
cursed you for your insistence
loathed you for making me what I am
As sure as my soul wasted away over the ages
My restraint faded into blissful memory
and I accepted what I am
UNTAPPED VEINS
Long before the embers of day are cold
The winds of dusk capture your scent
Impart your sweet fragrance to me as I dream
Long before the darkness inundates the sky
I imagine your flesh moving beneath my hands
As I stroke you gently and feel your warmth
Long before the night beckons me to rise
My hunger awakes
And I long to taste your passion
Flowing hot in untapped veins
UNDEAD
The night has embraced me
And I wrap my soul in its icy radiance
While twilight floods my heart
The night has embraced me
And I bury the past in a black chasm
And welcome immortality undead
