The Figure in the
Graveyard
by -Grey Mist (Hillary Lavin)
Through the hideous wood I ran, trying to outrun the
beasts
Knowing that if I hesitated, I would be their feast
After a while they grew tired and gave up on the chase
I was so frightend, a tear trickled down my face
Then, out of the eerie blue mist it appeared
The very thing I had feared
It was the Castle Arlen, a place that I fear
A place that my people would never go near
The cold was ubearible, and the moon was high
Full and bright in the dark night sky
I had no choice but to seek a place to stay
And the castle was the only place for quite a long way
So I dragged my exhausted self to the rusty old gate
I was nearly frozen no time to wait
I open the gate, and ran up the twisted road
The smell of the place I really did loathe
When I reached the towering front wooden door
I wondered what I had done to deserve this for
I took up the door knocker and banged the door once
Just waiting for a strange being to pounce
When there was no answer I went inside
Hoping there was someplace to hide
The room was actually nice though dusty and dark
It had one or to pantings of a field or a park
But the I looked closer, and I gapsed when I saw
It was not a lovely park at all
But a greyard was in the framed painting
And there was a shadow that lead me to fainting
When I awoke, just a few minutes after
I thought I heard faint laughter
I turned to the door and discovered it gone
And in the distance, I heard a Bong
Midnight! I cried and tried to run
But something was preventing me from
I continued down the hallway against my will
I knew I was going to be killed
I saw a grand door and opened it quietly
Not wanting to disturb something that would bite me
The room was huge, like a den or parlor
But who knows what monsters it may harbour
I walked round and then, I heard a creak
Just then I was ready to shreik
Right there in front of me were the painting's creature
The only thing I saw was his huge sharp teeth feature
