NIGHTS SHELTER
Darkness falls acrss the land
The cold wind howls like the screams of the damned
When daylight is gone no light can be seen
Except for the moon which lends it's gleam
No voices heard, No sounds are about
For silence fall when the dead come out
With unheard steps they walk the land
Because the unknowing ear is that of the mortal man
They roam the night
They know no fear
For this shadowy place is what their heart holds dear

A Vampire's Death
He tempted my heart with a kiss of seduction,
I knew that he lived on the edge of destruction.
But who could look away from those eyes, O so fair,
grasping at my passion and my despair.
Ironic, it was, to have his breath against my face,
the scent of night musk, like the smooth stroke of lace.
Sensuous, it was, to feel his stirring touch,
and the gentle embrace I've desired now so much.
For so many centuries, this lust had not been gone,
like a bittersweet melody in a love song.
But now, 'tis time for me to leave thee behind,
I hope there would be no sorrow in which thee find.
The sun is rising, the sky is lit with light,
and there is no more of the mysterious night.
The sun is blinding, it shall vanish me,
into the visionary artifice of eternity!

Dark Paradise
Bright colourless images
Most of the city waste fields
Flashing, twisting, throbbing
Behind close eye shields.
Fortresses made of paper
Crowns made of rags.
Countries out of drugs
Treasures out of garbage bags.
Eyes, face, souls
Refusing to contain light.
Nothing shines through the dirt
As Day flees from Night.
Street corners, whore corners,
Selling their worthless selves,
Street needles, venom needles,
Waiting for night's lost elves.
And there I crouch, broken.
No name, no past, no spirit.
Now slave to the shadows,
The Devil, I do not fear it.
For I am no longer human.
I awake in my home.
Full of securities that hold.
Yearning for those city waste fields
That would never leave me as cold.

DIFFERENT WOMAN
A woman yesterday
A mother and crone singing last week
Now the maiden walks
On shattered glass
Swirling in the abyss
No desperation only despair
The mother dies
The crone rots
The maiden dissolves to sand
A woman long ago
Live and die and live and die again

Unremembered
No one lasts forever
bones will turn to dust
Coal and oil burned up
steel begins to rust
We run around in freedom
We treasure precious life
We crumble neath our bullets
We bleed beneath the knife
We open up our hearts
We wish upon our star
We hope that we can walk away
We never get too far
We fling our arms wide open
We cry and scream in vain
We hide beneath the raindrops
So none will see our pain
We wish to live together
We struggle with our dreams
But getting what we want is not
As simple as it seems
We try to be remembered
for our work and music, talk
We want to be remembered
But we paint our lives in chalk
