FX 25B Envelope Filter NEW!
Quack quack! Ever since my beloved EH Doctor Q died on me, I've missed the sound of an envelope filter. The BOSS FT-2 is cool,
but I don't think it has quite the level of "quack" I was looking for. I grabbed the FX 25B off eBay, and it hits the spot!
I'm not saying it's the same as the Doctor Q because the Q died over 10 years ago, and my memory's not THAT good.

FX 32 Meat Box NEW! Hmm. This may be the most dangerous pedal I own.
The Meat Box is supposed to thicken bass response. I've tried it once and right away it seems I got an eBay "lemon" - every one of the four controls is off-center.
Yes, not one of the controls shares the same "mid-point" as any of the others. As you might imagine, that makes setting the controls a real exercise in guesswork.
Why is this "dangerous"? Because the Meat Box can REALLY push your bass response to speaker-busting levels! I was testing it with my Strat and the Park amp.
At one point, it sounded like the pedal had simply killed all sound. I stepped over in front of the amp and I could FEEL the floor shaking.
If the volume had been cranked up, I'm sure the 10 watt speaker would have torn apart. I look forward to future experiments, although I think I'd better protect my ears.
FX 51 Juice Box (I finally got around to writing up a review of this pedal,
and if you want to read it, simply click here!
FX 52 Classic Fuzz (Oh dear! I have quite a bit to say about this pedal,
and if you want to read it, simply click here!
FX 87 Edge (This was another eBay deal for yours truly.
This pedal is a signal processor much like the BOSS EH-2, and only needs one knob and a string of four LEDs to help add clarity (or EDGE) to one's tone.
According to DOD, if the red LED lights up, the processor is being over-loaded. I tried the Edge and it does add a bit of brightness to the sound.
I found it useful to add some "bite" to the neck pickup of my Reactor (Tele copy). According to the enclosed manual, this pedal was made in 1988.)
