One of the highest-ranking Black Talons, Nil-Gang is a grim and effecient warrior. There are some who say he serves not the Code of the Paladin, but his own sense of justice that he enforces with a heavy hand.
Nil-Gang is girt in the black plate mail that is the standard uniform for the Black Talons, but with slight differences that signify his station. He wastes no breath on unneccesary words and has no patience for insolence, whether it be among the people or within the ranks of the Talons. He is therefore not one of the most popular of the Black Talons, but one of the most effective. |
Nil-Gang was the son of a low-ranking and corrupt noble who would deal equally with other nobles and the criminal element. When Nil-Gang was in the midst of his training as a squire, his father's estates were seized to pay a gambling debt by a rival lord. Nil-Gang's father was thrown into a debtor's prison and Nil-Gang himself was pressed into service as the rival lord's knight errant, in order to pay his father's way out of prison. By the time the price of his father's freedom had been raised, his father had already died of despair in prison. In a rage, Nil-Gang slew his master and set his estates to the torch. He wandered the land for many years until hearing of the exploits of the elite Black Talons. Upon proving his worth, he was accepted and began administering his own sometimes questionable brand of justice. |
