Angela - By Angela

Part 1

My eyes darted back and forth as I scanned the crowd for my brother. The streets of New York were buzzing with all kinds of people. I turned around and started walking down the street, not really sure where I was going. I continued scanning the crowd, growing more and more frantic. How could we have gotten separated? It was so crowded, what if I couldnt find him? I wasnt watching where I was going and without realizing it I crashed into a newsboy. The next thing I knew I was on the ground. I was so surprised I didnt know what to say. I looked up at the newsie and then i realized it wasnt a newsboy it was a girl. She was with a tall slender boy who looked a few years older than me. He quickly stepped around the bewildered girl and extended his hand to help me up.

"Are ya all right?" he asked as he pulled me to my feet. He seemed genuinely concerned.

"Im fine," I said with a smile, "thank you." He grinned back at me. He was really attractive. A few pieces of his sandy blond hair were hanging in his face. Stop drooling! I felt like someone was watching me. I glanced at the girl. She was frowning at me, although I wasnt sure why.

"Angela!" I heard my name being called in the distance. "Oh! Thats my brother. I was looking for him." I explained. The boy nodded.

"Well, Ill see ya round." he said.

"Yeah. See ya." I smiled at him.

"ANGELA!" I turned around and rushed toward the voice.

"Johnny. JOHNNY!" A tall dark haired boy turned around. I waved my arms hoping he would see me across the street. I hurried over to him.

"Where were you?" I asked. Johnny shrugged. "Where were you?" he replied in defiance. I rolled my eyes. "Cmon, lets go home." As we made our way down the street, I turned around, looking for that boy whod helped me on the street. He was gone.
