Question:: Of all the tenets of the Gorean Philosophy, which to You, is the hardest for most to conceive?

Atheas:: Responsibility, Being responsible for one's actions. Living to one's codes or beliefs. Because of the lure of the sexuality of Gor, some do not take the responsibility of what your actions might cause. Of all the things I hold precious, this is the highest for me as a Gorean. Some might equate this with honor, but I call it 'Responsibility'.

Question:: With regards to "Honor, Integrity, and Brotherhood" which to You, holds the most regard? Why?

Atheas:: Integrity and Honor are the same to me, you can't have one without the other, it flows in with the previous question. You spoke of the Philosophy, There is a flow in how a Gorean thinks, acts and lives....:) Integrity and Honor grow within this.

Question:: How do you feel the concept of one's "Home Stone" should relate to our online channels?

Atheas:: Respect another's Home stone, Value your own....Take it into your heart, Live up to it's values as much as you can.

Question:: Under what conditions would a Gorean Male move from His home stone?

Atheas:: If it was destroyed, (ie...The channel closed down) or he was denied fire, salt and bread.

Question:: Up till what time should a Gorean Male stand by His Brothers?

Atheas:: Till Death, If a Man calls another Brother, he has taken him into his heart To me "Brother" is a precious title, not given lightly.

The Man

Question:: In your opinion, what is the difference between a "real life" Gorean and an online one?

Atheas::  Your question holds it's own answer....A real life Gorean trys to live his life as Gorean as he possibly can...the online leaves Gor behind as soon as he signs off, not taking it's philosophy into his real life. I feel Gor as real when I walk outside of my house to start my day as what I live when online.

Question:: How do you personally measure your success as a Gorean?

Atheas::  I am content and happy in my life since I allowed myself to be Gorean in actions and thought.... It is a considerable success to me to be able to state....I live as a Gorean!

Question:: If you were a Gorean animal, what would you be? (Larl, sleen, tarn, etc.) Explain why.

Atheas::  A Gorean Male is an animal....that is what I am, I live it, I love it.

Question:: Your opinion of the passages meaning?

Atheas::   A primer for a Master...a lovely one at that.  The Master pulls the slavery from a girl, makes her face it whether she wants to or not. Why? Because it is his nature to do so, without it he is not complete.

Question::  What is Your opinion of a slave who speaks and acts as such to a FreeMan?

Atheas::   she needs to be bound and thrown in the dung sack. Then taught she is a slave, such behavior is not becoming in a kajira.   If it continues * Atheas grins * The sleen are always hungry,   The slave markets will buy and the world is a lonely place when one is...alone.

Real Life Issues

Question:: For many, to bring the Gorean Philosophy into their Earthly lives: the cost and sacrifices are great: What has been Your greatest sacrifice to date?

Atheas:: My Job, I gave up a job because of the way the company did business, I could no longer work for them with their practices.

Question:: What was the hardest thing to overcome when You took Your beliefs into Real Life?

Atheas::  The hardest thing was coming to terms with the beliefs, once that was done RL was easy. In other words saying to myself..."I am Gorean, and I will live that way!"

Question::  Should an online slave's real-life responsibilities take precedence over her online service to her Master?

Atheas::  Depends on the type of responsibilities the slave might have...children, career/job, other comittments that might be involved. This is something the Master and slave have to communicate about, to understand what is involved in becoming both Owner and property. Life is different for all, there is no REAL black and white in this, but a lot of gray that can only be understood through communication. Good question girl.

Question:: You currently have two Real Life live in slaves, You had one before the other, what was the hardest thing for You to adjust to?

* Atheas laughs with pleasure at this question.

Atheas:: I never looked at it as a 'Hard' thing, It was a goal I planned and worked towards, having both of my girls with me RT. Getting the house ready for them was actually the hardest. It is a pleasant memory now.....<G>

Question:: There is currently children in the home, how much of the gorean lifestyle is exposed to the children?

Atheas:: We speak openly of Gor in front of the children, the books, and online. The children know that what I say is the rule for them to follow, it has worked well in that the children have appreciated the structure this has established in the home. We also have to be aware of the 'outside' world as in many areas being 'Gorean' might be an invitation to Child Protective Services to come down. The children see their Mothers serve me, take care of the house and the children also have their own chores and responsibilities to see to. And they have heard their Mothers address me as Master.

Question:: How do You handle the sexual usage of Your slaves, with the children in the house?

* Atheas smiles

Atheas:: I was expecting that one. The children see the affection we have between ourselves, that is open. Sexual usage is behind closed doors or when the ex's take them for visits. The girls do wear symbols of their slavery in front of the children at times. But both of the girls have the collar of their Master's will at ALL times.

Question:: In regards to sexual usage, does one girl have a permanent place in Your bed, or is it an alternate thing?

Atheas:: Ah...Both girls share my bed, and the children are full aware of it. My statement of being the Middle of a Master sandwich is the truth.

I will say this, the girls and I discussed our living together in detail, we went over any and all situations we could think of and how to handle it or them.

Question::  Do You believe in "slave rape" in real life?

Atheas::  No, I've never been close to any such thing.   ....My girls are always ready for their Master.

Question::  You stated that You have not been close to "slave rape" yet, You also say You utilize slave positions ...it is said that the position called "she-sleen" is also noted as the position for "slave rape", would Master elaborate?

Atheas::  I never considered that position as a 'slave rape', so I don't envision it as such....I read it in the book, I think that was meant to 'tittlate' the masses....to some that term might be exciting

Question:: What is the normal "mode" of dress for Your slaves ?

Atheas:: With the children present they are clothed, with the children absent, well they dress to my pleasure....<G>

Question:: What is Your "most" favored attire for Your slaves, when the situation permits?

Atheas:: Starkers, nekkid, nude and nuthin whatsoever. That way they are available to my pleasure when I desire. Plus collared.....

Question:: Do You encourage bi-sexuality between Your slaves?

Atheas:: No, in fact I would not call either of them bi-sexual, but they are affectionate and do play with each other.

Question:: How often per month would You say Your served food/drink in the "atypical" gorean manner?

Atheas:: At least once a day, by each.

Question:: How much of online activity is actually used by You, in Your household? (ie: slave positions, serving, kneeling, etc)

Atheas::  All of it is a part of our life and how we live.

Question:: How is that explained to the children, as it is not something they would see at a friends house?

Atheas:: The children have never questioned it, they see it as part of our natural affection for each other. They smile in fact.

Question:: How is discipline handled in the home?

Atheas:: I do discipline the children as do their Mothers, that was made clear before we all came together. In fact the girls wanted the structure for the children, a strong Male influence where none had been present before.

But the child has know why he or she has been punished....and the rules are clear for all, to venture beyond is not allowed without some form of discipline. The rules and chores of the children are clearly posted for all to see We have a whiteboard in the kitchen And denial of privileges has been invoked also...TV, Nintendo, and etc.  Rather boring isn't it?  LOL

The children are a part of the girls, I knew that beforehand, accepted it and took the children under my responsibility also.

Question:: When it comes to the disciplining of Your slaves, how much is exposed to the children, and how is it explained?

Atheas:: They are not and will not be disciplined in front of the children. I might bring them to task but raising a hand to them in front of the children will not be done. The children have seen me speak to the girls when they have displeased, but that has been the extent. Punishment would be when the children are gone....at a later date, which makes the girls uncomfortable as they have to wait...<G> Which is an effective punishment in itself.

Atheas::  Of course being made to sleep on the floor at the foot of the bed is a deterrent too. The dog would like the company on a cold nite.

Atheas:: Well, Inquiring minds want to know!

Question:: Do both Your girls work outside the home?

Atheas:: Yes they do, full time jobs.

Question::Is part of their income set aside, for them, in case they choose to be released or You release them?

Atheas:: Yes, in fact they are now part of my life insurance also. I have them as beneficiaries.... Savings accounts for the children also. The girls contribute to the running of the house, but I do NOT take their money for my own pursuits.

Atheas:: they do buy me things.

Question:: You have Your girls on Your life insurance ..who handles health insurance? Whose responsibility should it be?

Atheas::  It's a matter of what is comfortable to the Master and slave(s) involved...and what their finacials might be. For me it was easier and cheaper to add to my insurance. Some slaves, as with my girls have their own careers, etc. But I wanted some type of insurance if something happened to me. So the girls would be able to have some sort of financial fallback if needed.

Question:: In Your opinion should a Master get involved in His real life slave's financial matters? (ie: retirements, savings accts, expenses)

Atheas::  Yes, if you own them, you have that responsibility...not to take their money, but to see to their welfare, they are your property afterall. And with many, children are involved, so their futures have to be taken into account.

Question:: What percentage of Your slaves incomes go into a fund or acct, should You release them or they beg release? How much goes into the household running?

Atheas::  As to percentage I can not give you an exact number, but they contribute to what is needed to maintain the household, including adding to savings for themselves and the children when possible. Bills are bills....those that are theirs are handled by them, but they account for their expenses to me...In other words, I make sure they are not overextending. We all brought our own expenses, bills and etc into the house. Plus the kids are bottomless pits...:)

Question::  In Your opinion, is it the slave's responsibility to support the Master?

Atheas::  No, that is not compatible with my definition of 'Ownership'. I would prefer they did not have to work, but that is not possible

Question:: Does Master intend to "marry" either of His slaves?

Atheas:: No, It was made clear when each of the girls were collared that marriage would never happen. And there is NO contract between me or either of the girls.

Question:: Do You feel the institution of marriage to be a help or hindrance between a Master and slave in a relationship? (save for those previously married before entering the lifestyle)

Atheas:: I can only speak for myself on this question, to me marriage is a different institution that the Master/slave one. I could not mix the two. Nor would I want to, The Master/slave is the one most fulfilling.

Question:: In regards to "contracts", do You believe they have a place in the gorean lifestyle?

Atheas:: No I don't, this is one of the things I believe separates the Gorean from the Earth Master/slave. The Gorean stands for his word, if he cannot then he is nothing. Besides a Gorean girl would not want a contracted Master, she wants a Gorean Master.

Question:: Does BDSM have a place in Your life?

Atheas:: Yes, I am one of the Goreans that enjoys aspects of BDSM.

Question:: Do You permit Your slaves safewords/limits?

Atheas:: At first I did, as we got to know each other, however now there is no need, I know my girls, they know me....and they love my fertile imagination...<EG>

Question:: What aspects of BDSM do You invoke into the gorean lifestyle?

Atheas:: Bondage, discipline, denial...come to mind right away. Ah, Exhibitionism in ovid's case

Question:: In Your opinion, does BDSM play a major or minor role in the gorean lifestyle?

Atheas:: In MY Gorean lifestyle it plays a major part, as with my girls.

Question:: Would You say Your more BDSM than Gorean?

Atheas:: No, I live Gorean, I enjoy BDSM. The one thing I always state is...this is MY way, you're welcome to disagree, I don't care, but don't call me wrong for living the way that makes me the happiest.

Question:: Do You foresee taking any other slaves into Your home, in the near or distant future?

Atheas:: No, the house isn't big enough...<G>

Question:: What advice would You give anyone considering moving from online to RL ?

Atheas:: Number One, if you intend to bring a slave to live with you, you take on the duty of owning that slave. You assume all their cares, dreams, wants, etc by your act. If you take it, Take it! Step up and take your ownership seriously as you would a vehicle, a home or other property. You know own it with all that comes along with that property. Be it children, bills or an angry slave's family. If you're just looking for easy sex, don't do it. But then if that's the only reason to take a slave is sex, then you're not really a Master after all.

Atheas:: You mentioned marriage earlier, the collar is a commitment also, not the same as marriage, but a commitment none the less. With it comes 'Responsibility'......You as a Master are responsible for what you own. If you do not take your duties serious....then go play in DisneyGor and the other "fun&games" channels. This is Real Life, it won't cut you any favors, you have to MAKE it what you want. Not all will be able to recreate what we share in this house. Just as we may fall short of what others do.
