You're no longer questioning my "Why's." I'm just waiting for what you'll say. Here's a silent prayer that you'll stop staring, at me like you know something new. You act like my soul, I'm baring. Like if I do, it should be to you. Something vastly different's lurking there, and your smile is betraying your mind. I know, and feel the difference in your stare, and they say love is blind. I won't bother weighing my emotions. I've already seen the damage they bring. You're eager to feed me love's potion, But I'm just not ready for this kind of thing. ~ There's something troubling in your eyes, a kind of sympathy you're struggling to hide. I know you're trying to dig past the lies, meanwhile life is devouring me alive. Here's a silent prayer you'll keep staring, at me like you feel the same pain. Once again, my mom will need your caring, And yes, it will be hard to go through again. Something vastly different's lurking there, and your eyes shouldn't hold back their tears. I want to say that life just isn't fair but that wouldn't validate our fears. I won't bother weighing my emotions, I already know the fear they bring. I've never seen you so soft and fragile, And yet I'm the one who's dying. [1] [Image]
