TITLE: An Empty Apartment AUTHOR: SKK (Alien) DISTRIBUTION: Gossamer, Ephemeral, Spooky. . .others, let me know please SUMMARY: Scully POV, God don't we all wish this would happen CATEGORY: V (Poem) SPOILERS: Not a one-you're safe. *G* DISCLAIMER: They're not mine. It's taken 2 years of therapy to convince me of that, but I now bow to CC as master of my domain. FEEDBACK: laughtersvessel@alienmail.com I get any inflammatory stuff and I'll block your butt. I don't mind negative feedback, just keep it clean. Open the door, throw down my keys, hang up my coat neat as can be. Picture perfect, every room in the place, so I head towards my mirror, and study the face. With two blue diamonds that seem to stare through, my face is smooth, and calm, and of ivory hue. Framed by shining locks of red hair, I hold myself, in my own stare. Can I see through myself? I laugh and turn away, but something in the mirror holds me to stay. Again I'm surprised at the thoughts in my head as my mind turns to a subject of dread. Not that he's dreadful, I correct myself quick, but as I keep thinking, things seem to click. I know it's my turn, to make the next move, so I pick up my coat, and put on my shoes. Open the door, head to the hall, and then I stop fast as my heart takes a fall. That beautiful man, that I've learned to love, has just stepped back, as if he's been shoved. I smile and reach and speak his name, I'm going to make sure things are never the same. No, never again will I come home, to an empty apartment all alone.
