'I Am' By: Lydia, 1999 Point of view: Scully, to Mulder Feedback to: Lydia_Lyl@hotmail.com ********************************** The touch I felt consumed me so and I can't stop wishing you had let me go beyond expectations and bariers. Bariers you erected. But thoughts, dejected let me feel connected to you. So I sit and wait for another sign that your impatience and haste has become sublime hope in the rain. Sight beyond years. Give me your fears. I'm a good burden bearer. I am. The sound I heard rang in my ears. The verbal confirmation of too many years of hoping, unconscious. Of needing, and not knowing and wishing a knowledge might just disappear. Because Truth lies in the small recognitions always defies the expectations we hold to the light, letting it hide. Deep inside. But give me your words, Let me make sense of meaning, avoidance demeaning their true intentions. I'm a good soul searcher. I am. Yet still I wish To drown in your affection, going deeper than this superficial connection, but rather than risking your rejection, I'll relish this friendship for what it is. Denying we could feel any more bliss than this. So let me be martyr and go like a hero. I'm a skeptic of love. I am.
