"So, you need a drawing to go with that...?"

That's the story of my fannish art career. I've always loved the idea of amateur/fannish/small press/call-them-what-you-will publications, where everyone is creating for the sheer joy of being creative, and then publishing the results. There's no money here, we do it 'cause we love it. For some folks it's the writing, for some the connections they make with their hobbies, or with other people. For me, it's the compulsion to draw almost constantly, and finding a welcoming home for much of that compulsive work.
This page shows some of that fannish artwork I had published in 2008, both in print and on line, for those 'zines that specifically consider themselves in the sf fanzine category. (If you want to see some past stuff, click here for 2006 and here for 2007.) I'm only going to run the cover pieces, since those are, of course, much more impressive. There is a full list of all the 'zines at the bottom of the page.
If there is an on-line version of the zine, you can also click on the name under the image to link to that, and check out their entire issue. Some folks still are staying with the "old fashioned print" versions only, but seems more and more are also adding a web version, and some have gone totally that direction. It does give me a chance to do more color work, which is a lot of fun!
