In Okrand's *Klingon for the Galactic Traveler" he describes the ghonDoq
as a very slender knife. The example shown here is seen in the hands of a
Klingon sent to kill Jean Luc Picard in *Sins of the Father*. It is 16
inches in overal length with the blade measuring 9.5 inches. The last 5
inches of the blade is comprised of a slender taper that starts at one inch
in thickness and gradually tapers to the piercing point.

"Take one good look at how this blade tapers or the shape of the handle and you will know why I call it the Wierd Knife.  This unusual blade has become very popular amongst assassins of late.  Because of its unusal tapering and piercing power this weapon can do nasty damage to a Klingon and fatal damage to other humanoids in one strike.  This is a dagger that should have the phrase  'See him, kill him, and leave quickly.' engraved on the blade."
