Like i said under the 'good' section most horror movies boil down to good vs. evil. Now in the bad horror movies (you know what type i mean, the ones that get released straight to video and are painful to watch --- yet people seem to like them....you know who you are :)) the heroes and the villains are both pretty boring. In other movies the lines between good and evil get crossed.... well in Lost Boys the hero's are good and the bad guys are bad... The Bad
But that's what makes them so much fun to watch!
Since this is a vampire flick the bad guys are of course the full fledged vampires in the film. So read on to read about the Lost Boys.
DavidOkay, first off let me say that David is my favorite character in the movie, and this has everything to do with him being Keifer Sutherland in real life.
Well now that we have that out of the way, let me talk a little about David...well he's hot (in my opinion) with really blond hair, and a wardrobe that seems to only contain black. Black pants, black boots, black duster jacket, you get the picture right?
Well David is the leader of the 'Lost Boys', and by this i mean the vampire gang that makes its home in Santa Carla. He's cruel, mean, manipulative, ect. ect. Still he does it all in a cool way.
He seems to be Star's boyfriend (well at least that's the vibe i got, if you have other ideas, e-mail them to me and i'll put them up) and is none to pleased at first with Michael.
It's David's blood that turns Michael into the half vampire, and we have to assume that it was his blood that made Star, and Laddie half vampires as well.
David meets his end impaled on a pair of antlers after a really fake looking 'in-air-fight' with Michael. What i way to go...
However since it was David who 'made' Michael, Star, and Laddie ... who made David? Why the master vampire of course! Now whose the master vampire.... well that title belongs to ....
Max is the head vampire. I know the first time i watched this it surprised me! Yhea i know there's a bunch of you out there saying; 'well i saw that one coming!' Well i say good for you, but it surprised me.
Whereas the rest of the vampires in the movie seem to live by the tag line:
Sleep All Day, Party All Night, It's Fun To Be A Vampire.
Max is better described by:
Sleep All Day, Run A Video Store By Night, Being The Master Sucks

Anway yes Max runs a video store on the board walk, and when he's not doing that he's wooing Michael and Sam's mother Lucy.
It seems that Max feel that his boys where lost and needed a mother figure. Lucy became the perfect one, and Max sends the Lost Boys out to turn Michael into a vampire (sort of works) and to turn Sam into one as well (doesn't work)
At the end Max is getting ready to turn Lucy into one of the un dead blood suckers, when Grampa arrives and stakes him.
Good ole' Grandpa, Max got on my nerves!!
